  1. Thanks! Right back at ya, Muff! Enjoyed my turkey dinner today and it was DELISH!
  2. Haven't been here in a long while, but figured I'd share my buck from this year! Got him September 13th, so one month ago today! Small 5 point, but I couldn't be more proud! PSE Stinger 54lb draw, NAP Thunderhead Edge broadheads 5 yard shot.... only ran 60 yards before dropping in his tracks. Shot was a tad higher than I would've liked (because of the hard angle I'm surprised I didn't shoot over him!), but it still did the job!
  3. Very nice, Ruth! I got the Winchester SX3 20 gauge in camo for Valentines Day 2013. They're a sweet little gun! No kick and lethal!
  4. Ooh!! Thanks for posting these, Ruth! I'm liking the looks of the Cougar! I doubt that the Fox would work for me seeing as how I have a long draw......
  5. Chalk this one up to another one I can't shoot. My draw length is 28"... I'm a beast. LOL.
  6. Too funny! I know this dog!! It's an adopted retired racing Greyhound from the same adoption group I got my Grey from!
  7. DH and I are 0 - 2 One of our friends is 3 - 14.....

    NOOK vs. Kindle

Never had my hands on the Nook, but I own a Kindle and absolutely LOVE it. There is no glare when reading outside or anything. Very simple to operate.
  9. Yup... love the look of the 2nd rock over the 1st one. MUCH better.
  10. YES! I am so pumped this year! It will be my first time going hunting with a bow and I can't wait!! I'm sure you're ready to bring blood with your new bow as well! I saw pictures of it on AT and it is a looker!
  11. Yikes! I'm sweating bullets just reading this thread. It's been in the mid to high 60's here and got into the low 70's a few times. Very cool and pleasant! Now.... how many of you want to smack me? LOL.
  12. Very cool, Ruth! What breed of duck is she? Any idea? I would LOVE to have a few ducks around for eggs but don't think I could bare to butcher one of my "pets". I get attached to everything way too easy. If it gets named.... it's family. HAHA.

    Have you ever?

Yes... many times. However I was born a blonde.. so that's my excuse.
  15. I think I would probably do it! I've always wanted to go skydiving or bungee jumping so heights aren't really an issue to me.
  16. Pics or it didn't happen!! J/K Lewis! Sure hope it heals up quick for ya!
  17. Welcome back!! Good to see you!
  18. When I have a day to myself, I LOVE to go outside and do yard chores. There's nothing more calming to me than working in my flower bed or greenhouse. Now I have my chickens outdoors and I enjoy just sitting there watching them. It's a great stress reliever! I also like snuggling up on the couch with my 2 Labs and read a good book. What about you??
  19. Yup! Justin and I have had our 3-D deer and raccoon targets set up in the front yard practicing! I have been practicing out to 40 yards and not doing too shabby! Justin just attended a 3-D shoot this past weekend and came away with a 2nd place medal in the hunters division. He also won in the shoot off against all the other top shooters. He'll have his name on a big trophy and have a plaque sent to him in the mail saying what he did. Here's a picture of him wearing his medal and 'accepting' the trophy. There's another 3-D shoot coming up on Fathers Day and I think I'll tag along to give it a whirl! How are you enjoying your new bow, Ruth?
  20. Thanks Shaun! I'm hoping I'll be up to my eyeballs in eggs rather than poop...... but I'm sure it'll be the other way around instead. HAHA! Oh well, the chickens are so fun! Quirky little animals for sure!
  21. It will hold 9 comfortably and there are 8 inside now. Once they get large enough for me to tell if they are roosters or hens, I'll be selling my extra roosters and adding a couple more to the mix.
  22. Thanks! The chicks were on chick starter, then went to poultry grower and after this bag of feed is gone they will be going on layer feed. I can't wait!! How much was Christina selling a dozen for??
