  1. That's an awesome cake. LOL!! :clown: Looks like you made a pretty good shot on that monster buck.
  2. Justin and I opened our gifts on Christmas Eve and I have to say..... I am sooooo SPOILED! :clown: My sweet hubby got me a Gorilla Treestand(!!!!!), Tinks 69, scent bombs for the Tinks, grunt call, Primos can, earmuffs for shooting my rifles, mini LED flashlight, knife, blaze orange backpack with a "thermaseat" , Browning socks and a Browning air freshener for my truck. I knew I had a BIG present under the tree to open but Justin made me wait and open it last. :whip: Usually Justin is TERRIBLE at keeping secrets and will drop enough hints that I'll figure it out days before Christmas/birthday/etc., but this Christmas was different! I had NO clue what it was!! Finally the presents started to dwindle and I got to open it. What could be inside? ........... a 2011 PSE Stinger and a dozen Easton ST Epic arrows with pink & white blazers. :jaw: I couldn't help it........ I burst into tears and balled like a baby for a few seconds. Best Christmas EVER! Justin received mucho brownie points. :clown: I also got an arm guard and have already taken a few shots with it. It draws so smooth and is extremely quiet. I LOVE IT! Is it the 2011 bow season yet? I am PUMPED!
  3. LOL!! I loved it! Definitely a southern thing.
  4. Wow, really? It has gotten GREAT reviews on this site. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/true-grit-2010/
  5. Oh my gosh Lewis, I had no clue it was your great nephew. I kept seeing people on FB saying to pray for Cashe, but didn't know what happened or who they were talking about. I'm so sorry to hear it! Many prayers sent. So glad to hear that there is already some improvement.
  6. You go girl! :toot: Great story and great picture! Just think, when your little boy gets old enough, you can both look back at this picture and tell him that was his first ever deer hunt!
  7. It makes me absolutely sick to see this. We know people (as I'm sure Lewis does too) that have lost 200-300+ lobster traps in the same wind storm that the traps in the above pictures were lost to. After a couple hard seasons in a row, a lot of people are struggling to make it as it is, and then for this to happen? :surrender: At $100.00 a trap, that's $2,000 laying on deck, not including the price of all the rope that is lost, along with money lost from these traps not being fish-able to catch the lobsters they might have caught. For those that have lost 300 traps and all the rope that goes along with them.... that's well over $30,000 worth of loss...... meaning that bascially their season is over. :bummed: It's a terrible, terrible thing. How some people are going to recover from this...... I really don't know.
  8. Yup, Justin definitely needs to buy one of these. :clown:
  9. Way to go Hemi! I'm sure you were sooo proud! Our chocolate lab April, made her first retrieve on a black duck this fall and being the dork that I am, I got all teary eyed. :clown:
  10. I'm going to echo Ben here, and say Muck boots as well. They are comfy and warm!
  11. This story and pictures have absolutely made my day! I enjoyed it thoroughly! Thanks for sharing!

    Need prayers...

I'm so sorry to hear this! Prayers sent from both Justin and I.
  13. Jeramie - Aren't they though?? I would have to say that they are in my top 3 favorite ducks based on looks. Very unique!
  14. Congratulations on your new home Kyle, Jen, and Cash! I LOVE it! Lots of room for your family to grow into, great "man" garage, LOVE that kitchen table and all the cabinet space. You got an amazing deal!
  15. I think those are sexy! Serious! :cool2:
  16. Let's be realistic here. Do you think Gaga would be as big as she is now had she continued down that path? No. She would have drowned in a sea of other artists who sing songs just like that. I applaud her for being different, putting herself out there as someone who does what she wants to do, dresses how she wants to and doesn't give a flying crap about what anyone thinks of her. It's obviously working for her!
  17. Justin and I have been hunting several times this fall, but forgot the camera a few times and/or the weather was too bad to take it with us. Here are a few random pictures from this season so far! Hopefully we get some geese in the next couple weeks! April's first retrieve! I was SO proud! April's 2nd retrieve! Justin, our friend Justin, and a newbie to waterfowl! Justin and I had a fun day on the ocean this day. 2 hen 'ol squaws, 1 male 'ol squaw, a male eider, and a male surf scoter! Close up of the surf scoter bill. God's artistry at work!

    Ticks me off

Psht! You don't even live in the part of West Virginia that gets a lot of snow. You wimp! If I remember correctly, where I used to live in WV - they got over 100 inches of snow in the month of December alone last year! I admit it.... I usually drive like a granny in the snow... I hate it.

    French Fries

Either ranch dressing....... or POUTINE! drooooooool.
  21. I'm sorry Shaun, but I literally laughed out loud while reading your post. Justin and I started rigging up some Christmas lights outside last night but never came close to finishing. Lobster fishing started today so I'm on my own to do the rest of it. :surrender: I love how they look, but can't stand putting them up. As a side note, we also put up the pine garland and needless to say, I'm TERRIBLE with the staple gun. :helpsmilie: I need an extra box of staples just to compensate for all my missed attempts. :clown:
  22. WOW! That's one heck of a buck. For anyone that's going to watch the video, be sure to pause it at 36 seconds. What a monster! :surrender:
  23. Gettin' a little "frisky"! :baby: Someone has been making too many trips to the apple pile! Nearly every time I make a trip up to my stand, I scare this guy away.
