  1. No deer here either. Rifle season came in on October 29th here, I've sat in the stand 8 times since then and have only see does and button bucks. I'm heading back to West Virginia from the 8th to the 21st and will try my luck again when I get back. Rifle season starts in West Virginia on the 22nd of November and I have been tempted to stay there an extra week just for hunting, but we'll see. Good luck ladies!!
  2. Congrats Randy! That was awesome! I can't even imagine doing something like that under that kind of pressure... :surrender:
  3. Never heard of it or seen it on the History Channel up here. Maybe it's not showing here yet....?
  4. I don't know why, but I'm not able to view photobucket videos at the moment.
  5. Sorry I'm chiming in late! Better late than never, I guess! :pacman: Waiting on the trick-or-treaters! In her hunting vest! Trying out her "pup tent" :clown: for hunting Mom, I am NOT impressed. :bang:
  6. I've gotten the flu shot for the past 4 years and haven't been sick at all. *knocks on wood* Before I started getting them, I was sick ALL the time. I guess it's different for different people.....
  7. Funny.... I enjoyed this story immensely. :clown:
  8. Ugh. Nothing worse than having a cold and having to work. I'm glad you're feeling better today though.

    Whats for dinner???

I made corn chowder last night.... and had brown bread on the side. Mmm!
  10. I also wear the neoprene waders from Cabela's for waterfowl hunting and absolutely LOVE them. Like you said, they fit perfectly in all the right places for us ladies. :clown:
  11. Why yes, yes they are. :clown: Drawstring on the sweatpants instead. LOL! I've been up since 7.... got the homemade rolls finished, and will have the candied sweet potatoes done in a bit, as well as the mashed potatoes to take over to Justin's grandmothers house! Can't wait! Nom nom nom!
  12. Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Muff! I've got my eatin' pants ready for tomorrow..... :clown:
  13. Congratulations to both you and Christina! Great story and pictures! Can't wait to read Christina's story!! I'm sure she was pumped!

Am I one of those people you wouldn't talk to on the street? :boxing: :clown: Haven't talked to you in forever buddy!
  15. I have my trail camera out and have pictures of a few deer, but no nice bucks yet. However, our waterfowl season opens on Friday and we are SO ready for it! Our chocolate lab, April is 14 months old and is one lean, mean, duck hunting machine! :flex: This will be her first year going in the blind with us and we can't wait! Good luck this season, ladies! Here's to bagging big bucks, lots of birds or any other game you are going after! :wine:
  16. What a shame! Everyone up here loves the show of course. Too bad this is what it has come down to. Without these guys around, as well as Phil being gone, I'd say the shows days are numbered. Thanks for sharing this, I posted it on my wall so all the local folks could see.
  17. I guess I'll never get another one then. :clown:
  18. Thanks Shaun! Actually, the one with the carrot in it's mouth is my Monster Buck.... I can't believe you didn't notice his massive rack! :clown: Oh, and BEN - I'm glad you don't! Lord only knows what you'd do to it. :nono:
  19. Thanks Mike! Trust me, I am tempted to ask for a 2nd one for this Christmas. I'm super impressed with the quality of the pictures!
  20. Love them! Welcome to Realtree!
  21. I got a Cuddeback for Christmas last year and never really got a chance to try it out. This year however is another story! We finally picked out a spot where I'll be hunting this year, set up the trail camera and put out some apples and carrots with hopes of attracting a few deer. One thing is for sure.... deer up here are literally like ghosts. It's a heck of a lot different from back home in West Virginia where you can walk off the road into the woods and jump a half dozen. In the year+ that I have lived here, I've seen THREE deer on our property and that was last year when a doe had her two fawns in the yard almost daily. Otherwise, no sign of them, nothing! Needless to say, I was tickled pink to see I actually had some deer pictures on cam so quickly! Anyway, enough of my rambling. I'm a tad excited if you can't tell. LOL! This doe seems to have warts or some type of growth on the inside of her front legs. I have another picture where you can zoom in and they are quite large and pink. Pretty gross. My future monster buck. This little guy is quite thin..... Enjoying the carrots! Thanks for looking!
  22. Love it! I was totally not expecting a piebald in this thread. Thanks for sharing these pictures with us. My Dad and Uncle have both shot piebald does in the past, and seen a few others, but have never seen a piebald buck in the woods.
  23. What's the big deal? I would be PROUD to have all of those bucks up on the wall. Putting them in the basement hides them from the view of company! .....too bad all women don't think this way, huh?
