Hi Strut, no I don't have a 5 mm Rem. Mag. Wanted one yrs. ago but saw it wasn't really catching on and didn't get it. But I also know there are several people who have been looking for ammo for theirs for years and haven't found it; thought they would like to know about it. Other than some T/C barrels chambered for it there were only two rifles, Rem. 591 and 592 that I know of. 591 was clip fed and 592 had tube magazine.

Check your fav. online supplier for availabilty of the 5mm Rem. rimfire Magnum ammo. Got at least 3 fliers where they are available again.

Heard on news yesterday that some "green" organization is suggesting the Feds raise the tax on fuel by 48% so as to decrease demand and raise funds to search for alternative fuels and reduce greenhouse gases to reduce "global warming". What a joke.

Hi Tyler, sounds like a nice 870, but you've been pretty lucky so far. If you really like that "overbored" 870, please do not shoot slugs thru it cause it can ruin it. There is a warning that comes with all the "overbored" shotguns I have seen to never shoot slugs thru them. Guess the slug can get turned or blown sideways as it goes down the barrel and can ruin the barrel. Just so you will know and not ruin it,,,,Terry.

VTbowman, I'd try to hold the range down to 250 yds. myself as the energy level at that range is down to 1008 ft. lbs. Rem. and Win. both load a 100 gr. bullet for this round but the BC is highest with the Rem. pointed soft point. The Win. load is a silvertip with much lower BC so it doesn't hold up as well at longer range as the Rem. load does. The 1008 ft. lbs. @ 250 yds. is with the Rem. load. Federal and Hornady don't load for it. Good luck.

LifeNRA, sure would like to have that K40, I had one on my old Bronco but broke it one time backing into the garage. Mine was the magnetic mount and the antenna part of it would come off with a little twist, but I just forgot to do it that one time. That put me out of the CB business. Would like to get back into it but need that antenna replaced, doubt if I could find one like it anymore. pm me or whatever if you would like to sell it. Used to be on the CB all the time many yrs. ago as the "Bronco Buster", since I really busted one up one time, haha.

yeah, that's a real high pressure load, be careful if you ever get to shoot one in a revolver, saw pic. on another site where a guy blew his thumb off shooting the revolver model, "two handed" style, and got up beside the cyl. gap. Nasty pic's.
