  13. Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman I guess since this site is just one big family it wouldn't be right to not help out a brother in distress. I'd love to be able to bid on the hunt, but can't afford it so I'll just send a donation. This is great what eveybody is doing!!
  14. Re: First year bow hunting Remember shot placement is different with gun and bow.No bone busting shoulder shots with the bow. Deer also react to a bullet a little slowler then a arrow.Pick your shots carefully.A relaxed deer is less likely to jump the string or drop then an alarmed deer. Good luck your first year!!
  15. Re: 125 to 100\'s ????? Shoot a few the adjustments should be minor.
  16. Re: any tips? The grid pattern search works best for me.Make your passes back and forth close together looking for parts of an antler not the entire antler.Try searching the area from differnt angles too. Look on overcast days or days with a mist light rain, antlers stand out better. If the sun is out try keeping the sun at your back. And don't be affraid to search the same area again later in the year if you searched the first time when deer were still shedding.

  25. Re: morning or evening? It's easier setting up in the evening specially while bowhunting. And as you sit on stand the longer you sit in the evenings the better the odds of seeing deer.As the evening wears on deer activity picks up. The longer you sit in the mornings your odds go down unless your talking the rut. I've taken as many deer on morning hunts as I have on evening hunts, but my best came from a morning hunt.
