  1. Re: G5 Tekan II anyone? I like the design on them. If I were to shoot a mechanical I'd give them a look. I was given two deer last year that were killed by them. When butchering them it was evident they cut pretty well and leave a nice wound. If you're set on mechanicals go with them. They look pretty sweet too.
  2. I don't know how many states alow you to buy your hunting licenses online and print them off at home, but it's pretty slick. Illinois lets you print as may off as you want, as long as you sign them all. So last year I printed off a bunch and put one in all of my hunting coats. This year I did the same but stepped it up in the fact that I saved the document to my computer and emailed it to myself, so if I ever don't have one with me its not too far from reach. And yes I do think I'm the smartest man alive.
  3. Re: The Sky Is Falling! The Sky Is Falling! We've got some rain too lately. If it keeps up I'm going to have to mow my grass again....I just mowed it two months ago.
  4. Re: how far wiill a slug kill a deer? Start sighting in at 50 yards and practice up to 75 yards. If you're just starting out don't risk anything farther. Much further than 75 yards your open sights will cover the deer. good luck.
  5. Re: Razorcaps vs. Crossfires I heard only good things about crossfires, that they are very accurate. I don't know anything about Razorcaps though.
  6. Re: Allergies.... I have allergies really bad. Prescription med don't help it either. This is the time of year for ragweed allergies.

    Are you a talker??

Re: Are you a talker?? Oh yeah I'm a talker. My wife sometimes wants to slap me but she secretly loves it. I'm also kind of a closet comedian. I think everything I say is funny. I've always been a story teller. Thats a hit at parties. I can jazz up a story about changing a tire and get 20 people to listen. I fittingly have a B.S. in BS. I can hold a conversation with anyone about anything. I've also been accused of being a smooth talker. I really don't know where it came from but its always been beneficial at job interviews or when dealing with salesman. Oh yeah and I like to be the center of attention.
  12. Re: I Love Cabelas!!! (return policy) I had a two year old climber bend on me, I called them and sent me a full refund. They still had the reciept in their computer system and had no problems with it. It was funny, because I was really PO'd when it happened and was pumped up for resistance. I had ice water in my veins ready to raise a storm until they replaced it. But the lady was so nice and said no problem. It was a very nice experiance. Thats why I continue to buy from them.
  13. Re: jayco pop-up camper for sale [ QUOTE ] yeah i know, having some trouble with the digital. going to get a new one this weekend. i am asking 1500.00 for it though. it would have to be picked up too. don't have the truck anymore. [/ QUOTE ] WHAT? No delivery? Forget it then.
  14. Re: Advice Needed Find the thickest knarliest stuff where no one else would go. Get there early. Beating a buck to bed is a great strategy I read about it a couple years back. If you're careful and beat them to their bedding area in the morning, throughout the day you can be presented with a shot here and there when the buck gets up to stretch, pee, etc.
  15. Re: Missing Lab Thats good to hear. I would go crazy if I lost my lab.

  19. Re: Slick Tricks... They are worshiped over on AT. I have never seen one in person, but as long as they're sharp I'm sure they'll put the smack down.
  20. Re: Facemask or No Facemask? I dabble too. Early season I'll wear face paint. I got some stuff that goes on easy, dries nice, and comes off with water. Plus I feel like rambo when I'm wearing it. Later in the season I'll wear a mask mainly to keep my big ole snozz from freezing off.
