Well I stuck with it and finally the deer moved the way they were supposed to...past my stands. I connected with a doe last night, so another 5 pts for our team. I will post pics later. I was really wondering if all the deer left or were killed. I hadn't even seen one on stand until last night. I was alone and the drag was a doozy. But it was all worth it.

That is a good show Tim. Steve Gruber has got a good thing . Being a suburban hunter myself, I can totally appreciate the show and how deer have proliferated some of the urban areas in the USA.

Just had my buddy up from Texas here in NY. He paid $140 alone just for a buck only tag. Fairly reasonable compared to other states.

You seem to have passed your inspection . Congrats. OSHA has worked in a few workers favor that I have seen in my 26 years in construction. Yes, gov't involved in anything usually makes it a uncontrollable monster. But there would be no need for agencies like OSHA is we could trust all employers to play fair and let workers know what hazards they are being exposed to and how to safely protect themselves from those hazards.

Paying for TV(cable) since I was from a generation of where TV was free. They even used to let you watch the rainbow stripes with the high pitch hum when they had nothing to broadcast:D. Paying for water is also hard to swallow... pun very much intended.

There are inherent risks to all activities children participate in. Especially football and baseball. While no doubt it was a tragic and sad incident , I do not think the bat manufacturer should be held liable. This is a sue happy society, so there you go.

Not much you can do. Folks see things in different ways. I too have seen does with little or no use of one of their legs and they do seem to adjust and get along fine as long as a yote don't chase 'em. I have shot 3 deer myself with injured legs and the one doe we always see with 3 legs working, we call her gimpy and she has put out fawns the last 3 years. So they can survive on 3 legs. I guess the others who called the police did not know the history you had with that deer and they thought they were doing the right thing. I would have let natural selection do its job.

Dang Mike...tough decision to make. If you think you won't ever get called back because of their future with Mexico, then take the dough. If you think there is hope, hang in there. It would come in handy this time of year no? Heck if you want to get away. Come on up to my deer camp for a week or so. Let the solace of the Catskills help ya make that tough decision:). Hope it works out for ya bud.
