    It's Here

H1N1 is NO joke...Purell seems to be a good way to keep germs at bay, but those hand sanitizers also kill good bacteria. Hope you do not get it either Chris. In a school though, it may be very hard not to be exposed.
  3. I was up at deer camp this weekend. Checked the cams and lots of pics of flatheads . But I don't worry, where there are girls...there will be boys. We have 2 weeks before our archery season starts. Good Luck y'all.

Thanks Gary...that was quite educational as to why the ASD is needed. Makes perfect sense.

Understood. Thank you...Thank you Verrry much. (in my best Elvis:D).
  6. Keep swinging Alan. If there is a local archery shop or gun store around. Wander in there, and ask around. Some shops even have bulletin boards to post ads on. Even the Gander Mtn by me has a BB to post stuff on. This is a great place to learn EVERYTHING you need to know about the outdoors. I'd say this is the best board on the net. Subscribe to hunting magazines and watch the vids too. But there is no substitute for hands on experience. Good Luck.
  7. That is funny. But times are tough, people are being creative in ways to possibly earn a few dollars. What the hunter has to barter is the increase in vegetable production by eliminating some of the deer. I'd offer the guy some meat and if it is legal...why not hunt?
  8. Thanks guys. I was pretty sure it was a gray. Just kind of amazed that they would share the same habitat so close to each other. Trail cams are the greatest thing going. I know where I am setting my traps this season;).
  9. That is Hollywood for ya. Sensationalizing anything they could get their hands on. So why not the biker gang life? They did the Sopranos Hollywood style. I grew up in NYC and I still know a few legitimate 3 rocker 1 percenters from the Red and White, one became quite famous on a show called OZ. Another guy I know mixes concrete all day long and has a legitimate job as a mason tender. A far cry from the Outlaw gangs of yesteryear. Approach this show as entertainment, that is all it is.

Question guys...Gary/ Tony. Don't meant to hijack thread but this is on topic. As far the ASD goes. I understand what it does and it makes sense...BUT...doesn't my arrow saw make a perfect cut on the shaft? Or can it be a slightly bad cut, off 1 or 3 degrees, better than my eye can see where the ASD could make a difference? I do not have a ASD. I do cut my own shafts/fletch and shoot mechanicals. I have had no issues. Or does this problem pop up only when shooting fixed blade heads? Thanks.
  11. Make sure the choke is a improved cylinder bore. Rifled slugs for a smooth bore and Sabot slugs for a rifled barrel give the best accuracy.
  12. It is not a big deal Ruth. Everything should fit just fine. I did the same for my son Joe as he grew up with his bantam 500 in .20ga There are 2 Phillips head screws to take off the butt pad. Then you need a long flat head screw driver to turn the slotted bolt left, to take off the butt stock. Reverse procedure to install larger butt stock using same long bolt. Now the forearm is a bit tricky. Getting the slide rails to rest in the grooves can be a bit tough. Did your 500 come with a manual? It is hard to explain how to put the forearm on. If you don't have one I have a few, I'll send ya one or you can e mail Mossberg and they will send ya one. Look here on youtube

  14. OH man is that is NICE truck Mike . Congrats. I just love those leather seats. Like sitting on a expensive couch! So comfy too! I am a Chevy guy, but that is one bad azz looking truck. The color is good to hide dried blood in the bed:D. Enjoy it Mike.
  15. When your done cuddling the bow... set it up and fling a few sticks. Hey...who knows...you might shoot it so well you CAN get out there with the bow this season. Whatcha puttin' on it? Sights, rest, stabilizer... ect

Welcome to the forums . So you shoot the real heads and they fly true. When you shoot the practice heads they are planing on you ? Hmmm, that is weird. Make sure the blades and fletch are lined up on the shaft. That might help. I shoot expandibles as to NOT have this problem. Many fixed blade heads fly the same as field trips( SlickTricks), but I think the Muzzys need tuning. Maybe some other bow gurus on this board can help. Good Luck.
  17. Enjoy it Gary...you have but a few days to get it all set up and hittin' bullseyes for the N zone opener right? Have fun and try not to mug the UPS guy when he pulls up OK?
  18. Ah boy...what a shame. Who knows what drives folks to go over the edge like that. You have a tough job dealing with stuff like that all the time.
  19. Gary, it gives a visual, in addition to the audio played or sound blown to keep the predators attention off of you. It helps to make good coyotes. I have a FoxPro Jack in the box that is remote controlled. It essentially does the same thing, just with a remote. Cool decoy there Muley. They work!
  20. You haven't committed to going to the wedding yet right? But you have committed to moving the cattle right? I would keep the prior commitment and send a gift to the bride. Good Luck hunting;).
  21. Russell, do the discs need to be finalized before transferring video/stills to the PC? I'm still hot for this.
  22. Blazing Saddles (anything Mel Brooks) Magnum Force Animal House The Blues brothers The Godfather 1&2 Cool Hand Luke Cane Mutiny Angels with dirty faces Jeremiah Johnson Dances with Wolves That is all I can think of right now.
  23. I agree with what was said above. Glad it is going well and hope it only gets better.
  24. Go back to the store you bought it from. See if they will be any better help since they were the direct point of sale. Most cell accessories are cheaply made and command a high price. I'd be a bit POed myself. Get names when you speak to people on the phone.
