  1. He is 5 1/2 now...how old would you let him get before you'd shoot him? That is about of a mature buck as I have ever seen. He passes by my stand within 40yds... A bilateral pneumo thorax is in order . I'd leave his broken beam broken for the mount. The way he was. Besides we have pics of him for the last 4 years.
  2. I've seen this before. Very good and on topic. Wish we could have gotten more to say no last November.
  3. I am sorry to see you going through all of this. Stay strong and be there for the kids...keep your cool. Things will get better. Prayers headed your way.
  4. Love that bloody arrow in the quiver Randy .
  5. I was looking for a steal, but I do not want to rob you. Keep me in mind if it don't happen. Thanks. Still have and using your KodakC340:)
  6. Would ya take $175 TMD? It has been on here a while and my vid cam is on the blink.
  7. That buck is 5 1/2 years old. We have pics of him from when he was a young'un. He has not given many shooting opportunities throughout the years. The last one, he was standing in someones yard at 40 yards. The pass through would have hit the house in the background with the angle Joe was on...so he was given a pass. I hope one of us at least gets an shot off at that bad boy. Gonna go heavy on scents and scrapes to lure him this year. He is the dominant buck around these parts.
  8. Dude I know what you are going through... Glad to hear Mom is doing better and I hope she continues to improve.

    Any day now!!!!

Congrats to you and the Mrs. on the new baby . Just make sure you practice with the baby hanging on your shoulders. You don't want your son getting hit with the string throwing your shot off:clown:. Tell momma your just going out shed hunting :angel1:
  10. Rugers make tough guns. I have a 77V in .308(1980's model) and it is a tack driver. It is heavy and not too pretty, but the girl can shoot. Good Luck with the Hawkeye and let us know how it shoots.
  11. Good Luck with it Charlie...I know you make a shooter out of that yet! Nice work to the stock too.
  12. Lucky dogs Lucky dogs Lucky Dogs...did I say Lucky Dogs?:clown: Man I would love to get behind a Barrett or any .50BMG gun for a few pokes. I would have to say loading your own has to be the most cost effective mode of ammo production. I have seen the .50 go for $6-10 a round! Yikes! Have fun and you got a great boss too . Lucky Dog.
  13. A fun day for sure. Better than working huh?:clown:. Those gobblers love them fields . The SKS gets the same ballistics as the 30/30, so don't hesitate to use it for a deer rifle. Just make sure you have a 5 round mag for hunting.
  14. Joe, revolvers can be left loaded without any adverse reactions, like to a compressed spring in a mag of a semi auto or a tube of a shotgun. JJL recommended the CZ PO1. That gun is based on the original CZ75 which was the 1st! double action hicap 9mm in the world. A very good design and reliable pistol. Joe, I keep a small .410 shotgun in my pants draw. A Snake Charmer I think it is called. I tried this out in the field, with 2 layers of 1/2" sheet rock and insulation in between. I fired at 20 yards with #6 shot and none penetrated the second layer of rock. Who is on the other side of that wall is of great concern. The .410 is my choice for home defense. If you are set on a handgun, then by all means I would stay with the name brands( Smith, Beretta, Sig,Colt, Glock) and lean towards .45acp. More one shot stops than ANY caliber.
  15. Great going Blade:). Nice shooting. When you get bigger your gonna give Dad a run for his money:clown:
  16. Beautiful color on him! Sure is cute. Hope you enjoy him .

    Classy move

To Norm and Mike (too_pointer) and Ruttin' Buck Mike... Very classy move sending out the post cards thanking folks . I too, have been staring at it for over 2 weeks now on my microwave and have been lazy in saying thanks. I am glad you guys were able to go on your trip of a lifetime and so many smiles and memories came from that trip. Glad I was able to help.
  18. That is exactly what non hunters will never get about hunters. Our care for the wildlife and the outdoors. Good job.
  19. Check your states DNR about using live game for bait. Get an old wig,or animal skin; some fishing line and a spring. Wiggle it a little with some calling and that should get a yote up running.
  20. Amazing how much some will do for a dead deer. In my book if you cheated, you didn't earn the prize. Lock up the poachers everywhere.
  21. Such a peaceful place Mike...thanks for sharing it with us:). I gotta get up there one day...
  22. That double throat patch/bib is rare Ruth...nice sighting.
  23. Ain't no ground shrinkage there baby...:clown: Great goat and congrats to Randy and Steve for very successful outings.
  24. Great way to spend the day Uncle Jesse:). Your nephew will remember these days forever.
  25. This guy is a POS 1st class. Taylor Swift did not deserve that.
