Re: What does you license cost? Zilch, nothing , nada. Have a NYS Lifetime Sportsmans license and a lifetime Archery license. I have it about 10 years and have already beat about 3 tag price inceases. The great part is that even if you move out of the state, you can still draw resident tag(S). Tags are mailed to you early(never forget to get your tags!). It cost me $500 10 years ago, for the Sportsman and $180 for the archery endorsement. Sportsmans license includes deer/small game/bear/turkey and fishing. No fee for the doe tag(s). The younger the person gets it, the cheaper it is. 0-5 $250 5-11 $420 over 12 $600 Tags can only go up, I think its a good deal.

Re: Luma-nocks I wonder how durable they are. They also are great I would imagine in low light, non pass thru situations for tracking. But to outfit your quiver , one is looking at 50-60$ . I've seen them at Gander for 9.99 each. Couple that with a $10 shaft, approx $12 broadhead, heck your looking at a $30 arrow! Better not miss and hit a rock

Re: Realtree...a REAL company One thing I said that was NOT put in that article was ,"even though I don't like canned hunts, I support anyones right to do so" I tried to make that clear to the reporter, but somehow it was omitted. All in all I think it was positive toward hunters.

Re: Ever think about doing this? As long as you pay the fine in American $ ...whats the problem? If the penny is useless and bothersome, maybe congress should do something about it, like do away with it. I has too cost WAY more than a penny to make one. How many people step over pennies and won't even pick them up? Heck...we even throw them in rivers and streams to make wishes! The labor it takes to count it, the space it takes to store it, cost of maunfacturing...ect. How much would the American public save by doing away with the penny? Anyone agree?

Re: Fill er up 2.35 here , filled up the Silverado...$52.00 Ya hear about the bear that attacked a bio diesel vehicle because of the smell of the grease? The guy uses french fry and chinese food grease to mix with diesel for fuel. DEC recomended that he leave a ballon filled with ammonia by the fuel tank. If he pops it , it will be a unpleasant smell and disassociate it with food smell. It happened in way upstate NY.

Re: Realtree...a REAL company I'm gonna try to post the original article from the newspaper that made all this happen. I may have to ask Joe for help with that.

Re: Realtree...a REAL company Thank you on the compliments on my son Joe. He is a good boy IF he can stay on track. But you know...teenagers dont come with owners manuals and you have to figure out each one individually Realtree is my favorite, I hunt LOTS of hardwoods, so it just works out. The other camo is good, but I prefer Realtree. We just got back after a few days at out at our place(hunting cabin) upstate. We had a blast riding and scouting. Eating berries ect. Thank you again for the compliments about Joe. GO REALTREE!!! Anthony...Joes dad.

Re: Expandables I have used the Shockwaves and the terminal performance on them is incredible. They REALLY fly like field tips and make a big hole! I like the triv-vex tip of the shockwave, it blasts through bone like butter. The only shortcoming I see in these heads if the "O" ring thats needed to keep the blades closed. The Spitfire does not use these "O"rings and is held closed with a ball detent. Matter of fact, sometime the Spitfire will close after passing through a deer. This is normal with the pressure to hold them open as passing thru and snapping closed after penatration. I think NAP make some of the BEST products out there, I swear by them. I ONLY use expandibles with my Mathews Outback.

Hey folks, I'd just like to share some of the GREAT treatment that my son and I have received from Jordan Enterprises. Back in May, my son and I were featured in the local paper here, about the Youth Turkey hunt here in NY. It was a good article that portrayed hunters and family in a good light. A VERY positive piece. In the story was a disagreement that my son and I have over camo. He is a M@#sy yoke guy. I am a REALTREE guy. The reporter couldn't tell the difference in camo, so she wrote that "to the untrained eye, she couldn't tell, but to hunters she said, its like comparing a Picasso to a Jackson Pollack" I know who Picasso is, don't know who Pollack is. Anyway, I forwarded a copy of the newspaper article to Realtree and to that other major camo company,Mo$$y Yuk. The other company, wrote back and said " Thats nice...take care" Realtree...wrote back congratulating us and bubbling over the story. 2 days ago, we received in the mail, and all expenses paid hunting trip to Texas... Just kidding! They sent us autographed pics of Jordan,Waddell and Blanton. Also sent some Realtree Roadtrip stickers and Team Realtree stickers. This is incredible!!! My son and I are tickled pink ! This is more than I EVER expected. Not that we expected ANYTHING from anyone, Realtree showed us support and recognized us. Thas enough for me to continue using their products and supporting them ANY way I can. I had to share this story. Thanks for reading. Oh yeah...my son is on this board also, he goes by the name of Squirrelhunter91. Ask him when you see him, what kind of camo is best We need to convert him from the Dark side! He a Mo$$y Yoke guy...poo poo...

Re: Feather Cloud? I have to attest to the truth of the turkey feather pic. I was there when Joe took it. This is one of our favorite spots to hunt, hike and ride to. The elevation is somewhere around 1600' above sea level. The views are tremendous up there. This is the lower Catskill mountains in Sullivan county ,NY Oh yes, I agree...God IS an Awesome creator.

Re: New Hunter Welcome to the forum. Do ALOT of reading here. Incredible amount of good info here. There is a WHOLE bunch of VERY knoledgeable people all over this BB. Ask any question you'd like. I'm sure someone will have a answer for ya. Rule #1 in hunting never point your gun at something you don't intend to shoot. Keep it in a safe direction. Rule#2 know your target and whats beyond it. These basic rules are the foundation for this great sport of ours here. Once again...Welcome and ask away....

Re: Parts is parts.... I dont eat any of the organs, but the younger generation is a whole world apart from the old . The older peeps used to use EVERYTHING in the animal, nothing went to waste. I think thats how some of these recipies got started. I remember my grandma used to make a lambs head for easter...cabootzella (sp?) It was called. You had to see how my uncles would chow down on the eyes and brains and slice meat off the head and eat like nothing was wrong. While I stared at them. This was before the days of chicken nuggets Correct me if I'm wrong, but we as humans don't eat any carnivores ...correct? With maybe the exception of a bear. Who is a omnivore.
