  3. Re: NYer\'s - Question I agree i do think that the weatehr would be a bear earlier.... it depends on the year, and the weather.... .. I know this for a fact that it is different from county to county in NY.... i know in my area the birds have been off of display mode for at elast a few weaks, i found 4 slammers on sat.... with a bunch of hens...... 4. Re: Fletching for offshelf!??? well i do believe that you are over spines with teh 5575's...with a trad bow you would need a 60-65lb bow to break down that spine...how long are they?...also you could beef up end weight to break the spine

  21. Re: What\'s the wildest turkey \"Rumor?\" i'm not bs'ing my friend, its alright, i dont take it personally.... sometimes when i re-read my posts i laugh out loud haha. sorry...... if you notice much ofmy mis-spelling are inverted words..haah teh worst is i'm in the medical profession, and i constantly have to re-read my dictations...hahah.. so i guess i let things slip here.
  22. Re: What\'s the wildest turkey \"Rumor?\" magnatecsteve.. Haahaha. sorry about that, i have dyslexia, and its hard for me to type sometimes b/c i see the words backwards and such, and i'm too lazy to spell check. sorry.... i'm really not that uneducated, jsut lazy..hhahahah it is kinda funny to read my posts.....
  23. Re: Learning to Use a Diaphragm Call well everyone has their own style, usually primos,or quaker bro's...come with simple instrustions on how to place, size and make noises saying shuck, r cluck, or puck... the best thing is to figure out how to make noise with it, then spend a lot of time learning how to manipulate the sound to be how you like it
  24. Re: What\'s the wildest turkey \"Rumor?\" Turkeys hearing is not that great but eyesight makes up for it. Actually i think a turkey's hearing is pretty darn good, however when they hear something like leaves rustling or a twig snap they dont run, they wait till visual confirmation of something that does not belong...... I have stood on a hill top and let a few ligth calls rip and have had birds answer 3-400 yards away.......... I like to give gobblers more credit then is probably do, but that also leads to a higher success right i believe..... why take the chance!!.. if tehy have decent hearing..then dont slap your saftey off, if they can see well......dont make a lot of movement.
  25. Re: What\'s the wildest turkey \"Rumor?\" OKOK.....let me clarify...... I know turkeys are not an intellectual powerhouse!!!...however their paranoia mixed with their amazing sense of hearing and sight....they are very wiley in the woods.......to me its teh same as street smart/ book smart.........
