  1. Re: Gun Selections I own a Gun Store (Powder and Shells, Inc.) and have sold some package 710's. The 710 is probably the lowest quality bolt gun of the bunch. I would rate the savage a little better. I would rate the Ruger three times better and the Kimber 3 times better than the Ruger. Kimber is as close to a custom gun as you can get off the shelf (I would rate Sako in that category as well). But, hey any gun that's free is a great gun....can't go wrong.
  2. Re: 45 ACP load data I agree with hangunnr.....what do you want this load to do? Big differences between competition loads, practice loads, defensive loads and hunting loads. I have always liked Blue Dot powder, Cheap 230 grain lead bullets bulk, Win/CCI Primers and Win/Rem Brass. LONG LIVE THE 1911!!!!

    45?

Re: 45? The ol' mainstay colt loaded with premium hunting rounds (like a 250GR Nosler) is good for about 75-90 yards. Far furthur than what you would be capable of with standard iron sights as a new shooter with this type of weapon. Nevertheless, good choice and happy hunting! The ruger pistol is a good one!
  4. Re: Switchback XT speed Awesome Bow! Played with one at the ATA Show. It was not 2 weeks after that I traded in my LX. I have a 28 1/2" draw. Still shooting around 300. Its really smooth. I really like the limb design. Easy to work around limbs in a stand.
