Re: Peep alternatives? I wear glasses and blind in one eye and cant see out of the other.The regular peep would get bliary when I would lock threw it.I had a old timer show me the C- peep switched and ant looked back it helped big time

Re: any one shoot luminocks? I shoot them in my bemans 400 and love them they have worked great . I shot four deer with one nock just keep switching it from one arrow to the next if my arrow broke or what ever they work great.

Re: Tree stand stolen, Cops don\'t care I had a guy hunt on my posted property left his climbing stand on tree rite next to posted sign.I left this guy a note 3 diff times he keep ripping the notes up .The last time I got the stand and left him a note if He wanted his stand back come to my house and get . Thats been 3 yrs ago he still ant come got his climbing stand he hasnt been back on property far as i know.

We only get one buck tag here in ky .I have shoot so many smaller bucksin my 18yrs bow hunting ,That now I hold out for bigger deer I some yrs you may end up eating that tag.But it's all about the hunt any ways enjoy your self let those small buck walk and you could learn a little from this small deer good luck.

I think the realtree guys great your rite they dont the chance to scout some of the spots they hunt.My god some of there hunts only last two three days and thats not alot of time to get to no a area your not familar with thats what the guides get paid for.Besides they are on this land mostly year round when you spend that much time in the woods you no deer movement like the back of you hand.Maybe it ant the fact that you guys ant got deer maybe its the hunter .I look at deer hunting like a job you got to work to get on and stay on deer .

opening week end of ky rifle seasone was last sat 11 .There was hunter by the name of Bill Brite who died doeing one of the things he loved most he and his sons had been deer hunting around a river and had gone in by boat.The two sons was across the river from were there dad was hunting.When he didnt come to pick them up they informed the local game warden to help go across the river to find there dad. When they found him he was lying on ground at the boat with a deer he had killed and was trying to load it in the boat.He had heart attack and died on the spot they sad he had his hands clinched to his chest with his hat in his hand.The thing about it is he had been to doctor 3 days before and doc told him no hunting or streness activties when he went with his sons on this trip he told them this would be his last seasone to hunt with them that he just wasnt able to go any more.He died doing what he loved with the people he loved .

opening day of ky rifle seasone the new game warden for knox co .Was attacked by a 4 ptr he was responding to a call that two hunter found a buck with collar and bell around its neck.The deer followed the hunters out of woods were they called game warden the deer was letting the hunters pet it like dog they said it was even eating out of there hand.But when the warden showed up it got aggresive and charged the warden pining him again a truck were he had to shot it 3 times with a 45 cal pistol .Thought you guys mite like this story. Rekon he had his tags and license LOL

I shot 6ptr yesterday 18 yrds step angle I hit him little high think I got one lung .Found brite red blood with bubbles in it I let the deer lay for about 1 hr .Started tracking at 10 am the blood you could see from 10 ft away thats how much blood there was this deer went 600 t0 800 yrds bleading like that and al at once nothing no blood they was three of us looking.We quit looking last nite at dark.The deer never bedded down not one time never found arrow it penatrated up to fletchings I shoot the lumanock so I could see it great.I had plains to back but its has came a down pour what should I do I looked all day yesterday me and my friends???????

Re: taking the shot I can hit the kill zone on 3d target at 50 yds but that is in back yard playing around. I have a 40 yrd pin but have not had to use it so far .like the rest of this guys its all about your confidence.

I have a ladder stand I hunt out of all the time I have killed 3 does out of it this year.Been getting some pitc. of some good deer .Some rubs poped up across hollow from my stand i brought my climber with me hung on that side of hollow were rubs was.I was amazed the deer came 70 yds from my ladder stand on the other side of hollow and stood there for 10 min or longer looking rite at my ladder stand looking for me.Not just 1 deer but 3 deer did this a 4pt buck was the first then a doe about a hour later rite behind her was a 6 pt they all stoped to look at my ladder stand to see if i was in it.Were they was standing at I cant see it from ladder stand its to thick but this deer have been watching me all season. they are amazing animals how quick they learn.

Re: Deer hunting ethics. you guys brothers so this is family fued kick the crap out of him .Tell get his own stand find his own spot hang his own stand.Had guy hang a stand next to me one time over my feeder 5ft from were I was hunting.Pulled my stand and feeder took dump were feeder use to be came back with mouth ball scatered them like a mad man.

Re: Human urine scent I have read that all pee human or animal after exposed to air ammonia scent starts getting stronger .I personly dont pee in woods were I deer hunt .

There have been alot of deer killed with 30-30 look at it .It's been around for years I have never owned one probley never will inless i get one for my kids when they are ready to hunt. I like 30-06 you can use for big game other than deer example bear elk you no not ever hunter can afford to buy gun for each species of big game he hunts get one that is virsatill.By the way friend of mine has 30-30 for his kids he shot those new shells with the plastic tip says they shoot great

Re: bow season might be over I tore tendins and ligmates in my wriest last year had to have surgery .Accident happened on 2 day of bow seasone did get fixed till 5 months later.Had to go bow with liter peak weight.I have now devolped carpal tunnel in my werist.If I hold bow very long my hand goes numb falls asleep .Hope you get better

Re: POACHERS Same thing hapend here in ky .But land owner held gusy at gun point warden got there land owner lowered his gun the guys took off in truck.Warden chased them they dumped the truck ran threw the woods one guy shot the warden with a sks shot a total of ten rounds at the warden.The warden did not die but he can no longer work or hike like he did before.You never no what someone is gone to do on drugs when there high.When the man was caught he told police he was trying to kill that warden and that he wished he had.He served 6 yrs in jail.
