  1. Gotta love a pink cast!!! I'll bet that alone has her feeling better. What a little trooper you have there!
  2. Fair to say, something just isn't right. . . . I can easily think of nicer ways of "self-expression", but I suppose they would lack the SHOCK value of poking holes all over your face and sticking sharp metal objects through them.
  3. Poor little thing! What a complete bummer. . . . I hope that the swelling goes down in no time flat and that she stays as comfortable as possible. Kids are amazingly resilient. Sounds like she has a great and positive attitude! I pray that as a parent you never have to witness something like that again!
  4. I have an engagement ring and a wedding ring. As for that infamous suffering, I think we all sport one of those in one way or another. Interesting thing, though - if you turn that one inside out, you'll find the most gorgeous silver lining you've ever seen. . . It's all in how you look at it!
  5. Yeah, but at least Wolverines can bite and are a cool-looking animal. . . . a Buckeye is just plain, well, "butt ugly". Not to mention the stink. . . .
  6. I'm with you! The calls of the blue jays, a few falling leaves here and there, a crisp cool morning. . . . it's getting close!!!
  7. You silly Buckeye fans. . . . you know, in some parts of our great nation, the term "buckeye" is slang for a little spot on our bodies where the sun never shines. . . . kind of makes you feel a little less sweet, doesn't it?!
  8. Congrats on winning! I enjoyed reading your story - it sounded like a really fun evening. Good luck on any future duck hunts with your new stuff!
  9. Go Ball State/MAC! Pathetic is an understatement! At least my Alma Mater, Ball State, won today!!! Speaking of Ball State, I do believe that they were the one team that came closest to beating Michigan last year (when Michigan could actually play football!). And it took Minnesota triple OT to win over Miami of Ohio today (at Minnesota). . . So much for the Big Ten. . . go Mid American Conference (MAC)!
  10. My profession also involves death and dying, and that part of what I do is never easy (even after nearly 20 years). I'm extremely grateful that addressing death is indeed never easy, because if it were, then I do believe that I would be void of feeling and compassion. I also rely heavily on God to guide me and to provide comfort. I commend you for doing what needed to be done to the calf in order to end its suffering. Good luck getting rid of those darn coyotes.
  11. Oh, come now . . . we Colts fans waited a long long time for the Superbowl victory (personally, I've been a die-hard fan since 1984 when the team arrived in my "home state" of Indiana). . . We're allowed to be excited that they looked good for the season opener!!!!! Plus, no one "gave" them the championship - I do believe they earned every bit of it - and, should this year bring another Superbowl victory, something tells me that they will have earned that one, too!

    Price Of Milk???

Just for the record - I wasn't blaming the milkman - I was poking fun with the age-old joke referring to the various roles "the milkman" has played over the years. In other words, teasing that Andrea is paying for more than just milk. I want to stay safe and not be inappropriate for all viewing ages, so I'll leave it at that!

    Price Of Milk???

$3.15 a gallon here, and we also go through 2 gallons a week. $4.99 is steep! What exactly does your milkman do for that kind of cash?!

    Put out to pasture

Thanks, Andrea - likewise! You can always count on me to lend a hand wherever and whenever a healthy, supportive dose of humorous sarcasm and sass is in order!

    Put out to pasture

It's nice to see someone finally acknowledge that females are indeed the "glue" that holds everything together in life.
  16. I wondered about that one too. . . . a typo, I think. Blew, bleu, blue, bippity boppity boo. . . . let's just call them "World Champs" for short!

    Looky here

What's that little one second from the left laughing about?! They sure are cute.
  18. The Saints are a very respectible team, and Drew Brees is a great quarterback. Indy's offense and defense simply combined for a terrific team effort in this win. As for Mr. Manning not showing mercy . . . . I think the Colts know as well if not better than anyone about how a team with skill and desire can come from behind and claim victory (think of last year's playoff Colts/NE game). Indy showed New Orleans respect by never thinking the game was won until the final tick of the clock!
  19. The whole team looked great - especially in the second half. One game at a time!
  20. 41-10 over the Saints, for those of you who couldn't keep your eyes open til midnight! The season's off to a great start!
  21. Very nice! Congrats to you!
  22. Terrific news! Praise God, indeed, and may you get a spot on the OR schedule sooner rather than later!
  23. Aw, I don't want to wait! How about posting pics of your skinning process and see who guesses what it is first!?
