All in all I was pleased with how the golf course was setup and played. Too bad the golfers yesterday all seemed to fall apart. Congrats to McDowell for ending the 40 year drought for Europeans in the US Open. I sure feel bad for Dustin Johnson though as he really fell apart.

Sounds like you had a great time. I played in a scramble on Saturday as well and despite strong winds, we managed to shoot 14 under which qualified us for 3rd. It's a tough course and I was pleased with it. We are playing in another one next weekend and I hope it isn't so windy out. Glad I have golf to get me through the summer or it would be a long wait until fall.

Well the US Open has started and sounds like it might be a tough one. Who do you think is going to win? I've got a feeling my fellow Wisconsinite Steve Stricker is going to win his first major.

My uncle gave me the gun after winning it and there wasn't any paperwork with it so I doubt I could get it covered under warranty. I'm just worried that since Knight is under new ownership that they might not even carry parts for their older model guns. I guess if it ends up being a loss, I'll just have to buy a new one.

Does anyone know of any good online muzzleloader part stores? I have a Knight Wolverine 209 and I ran into some trigger problems with it. The assembly completely locked up on me. In not so brililant fashion I decided to try to fix it myself rather than taking it it. This was my first mistake. My second mistake was working on it in an area with low light and carpeting. I managed to lose a couple of small pieces that went flying off of it and now it is completely useless. Basically I'm trying to buy a new trigger assembly but my search hasn't yielded anything yet. I've tried contacting Knight but they only have an e-form you can fill out on their website and I haven't heard anything in a few days. If anyone knows of a good parts supplier, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks Gary

It's pretty sad that American soil is too dangerous for us to be in so they have to close it off.

One thing that bothers me about the whole thing is the timing of it. I saw a guy on TV last night talking about the fact that it is the winter in the southern hemisphere and the waters she would be crossing would be at their worst. If that is the case, why in the world would she be doing this now? Money. Pure and simple. Her dad I'm sure pushed this through to get the footage/publicity for their TV show. I'm sure she is a very capable sailor but I don't understand why they risked it if it indeed was the worst time for weather. And I just want to say that I am in no way shape or form a mariner and was just taking that guy's word for it. He could be completely wrong about it but it does make sense to me anyway.

I just read an article where the family had in fact got a "reality" based show and cameras had been in their home for a few months already. It looks like this was going to be a part of that show. While I commend her efforts for doing something few have done, it just seems the motives behind it have tainted it. It is really a sad state in our country when people are doing everything they can to get cameras to follow them around to make money. I mean, who really watches that crap? The Gosselins (sp?) and that Octo-lady are to blame for this as they started it all. Once one person starts something, everyone and their brother has to get involved.

I really hope A&M decides to stay in the big 12 as I think that would probably keep the conference together. But it is definitely all about the money and it should be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few weeks.

What does everyone think of all the conference realignments going on? I for one hope they don't start going to 16 team conferences as I think that is just too big. As a huge fan of the big 10, I hope they add Nebraska and nobody else. That would make for a 12 team conference that could easily be split into East and West. Go Bucky!

I just hope they get long jail stays and not slaps on the wrist.

As a die hard Cubs fan I hope he doesn't end up with the same problems as Kerry Wood. He was my favorite Cub for quite a while and it was sad to see his career never take off like it should have. On a more positive note Strasburg reminds me somewhat of Nolan Ryan. And he has a long, lanky delivery that will cause less stress on his body so hopefully he will have a long career.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with a sock monster in the dryer. It's amazing how many socks I lose after doing laundry.
