Yes. I'm in the lounge. Realtree forum is a great place to read or post some hunting, Misl pics, trail cam pics, and general information. Some people like to read and not post. That's ok. They are still our friends and some still get some valuable information form this sight. Three years ago I joined to ask a question on ground blind hunting. I learned a few tricks from this. I do not think this is a plac for drama. Just my thoughts...

Duct tape all of the antlers. If you leave any exposed they will turn white. It takes patience.. boil carve .. boil more. Carving the eyes out reminded me of "fear factor" Dont just throw it in water and leave it. You will remove all of the eye and nose socket. I purchased the kit from Cabelas. It worked great.

Funny you mentioned the Full Moon. I have not had any luck during the full moon. Texas two years ago (where deer are everywhere) I didnt many dear for three days. The hype does get me excited only to be let down. Here in the Northeast the charts say late rut. Full moon on November 21st. I would bet anything November 5-11 will be smoking (like always) Not hunting off charts this year.. LOL

I could have used it last year in Illinois. The corn wasn't cut due to the weather and they bucks were walking along the hay bales. Your effort will pay off. Good luck.

Just returned from a Cabelas visit. Always find something to buy. I would tell you I'm good to go.. but that is not true. Only 33 miles from my house. Convenient.. sure is.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I should proof read before sending ..lol Steak dinner sounds good. Rather have the venison dinner. But I will cook what ever the menu reads. As far as my health, I have a tumor on my Thyroid. Tested non-cancerous. The Doc is going to watch the size to see if it grows. Further testing in the near future. Held back on all trips this year due do the issues above. Going to hunt around here. It has been a few years since I Hunted the Northeast for one week continuous. Bring on the rut.

Keep that head high.. been there before. You have to go through the healing process. Find yourself first.. then its all good from there. Hang in there..
