Recently, I was at the Sportsman's Show in Harrisburg, PA and came across the WASP broadhead booth. I decided to give the SST BOSS fixed blade 100 gr. a try this year because they looked like a good broadhead and they were selling them on special (6 for $26).
First impressions:
- Blades are extremely sharp
- Broadhead assembles easily
- Blades are compact hopefully resulting in decent arrow flight
- Trocar tip aligns with the blades
I haven't shot them yet because it is still very cold here in central Pennsylvania, but I am extremely optimistic about these heads. The blades are low profile, but still give a 1 1/8" cut. I know i will probably have to broadhead tune, but that is not a problem. I just hope that they fly well and consistently so I do not have to move my rest to much.
Does anybody else use these heads or any other WASP head? If so, I would be interested in hearing your opinion on them. Thanks.
