    10pt.

In PA thats a nice deer... if that deer presented a shot in front of my stand, i wouldnt hesitate to pull the trigger... bow release or rifle...( plus i havent killed a buck in over 4 years now passing on legal deer much smaller than that)
  2. is there any way you can look at the scope personally before you purchase it?... If it were me i would see if i could talk him down another $50... if not, and you are in need for a spotting scope, then go for it... ps.. i hope you accomplish every one of your goals this hunting season!
  3. AGREED! it is too stinkin' hot!.. although I will probably be complaining about the cold about a month after the first snow... haha
  4. can't wait for you guys to post some pics... go get 'em guys... good luck
  5. 1. 137 2. 162 3. 204 2 is a dream buck for me.. but 3.. i think thats a buck that will always stay in my dreams and never be seen by the likes of myself... what an awesome deer
  6. good to hear its fixable without spending a ton of $$$
  7. thanks... and same to you!.. we don't start here in PA till Oct. 2... oh well... the wait just gets me more excited everyday:clap:
  8. thats a great deer in anybody's book! congrats
  9. thats a great mature deer! good luck tracking him this fall!
  10. WOW!!:jaw:... what a deer!! can't wait for updates and pictures of you with that deer!! good luck!
  11. we don't start our archery deer season in PA till Oct. 2... I'm shooting a '10 hoyt maxxis 31 set at 29" 68#, carbon express maxima hunter arrows, slick tricks and epek broadheads:rockon:
  12. that really is great!... good to hear about some justice being served!
  13. Being a maxxis owner IMO that is completely false. I have shot both and went with the maxxis. Don't get me wrong, the turbohawk is a GREAT bow! But, what I think you mean is that all the things that come witht the turbohawk and all of the speed and forgiveness, it is the bow industries best buy. Great lookin bow bud... hope you get to break it in
  14. sounds like a good set up! good luck with it this fall!
  15. the other day I purchased two packs of slick trick 100 gr magnums.. Today I decided to put a broadhead on an arrow and see if they really did fly like a field tip for me... Well, it has been about two months since I last shot because of how busy I have been with work and all and my first shot was horrible. I shot at the top left dot on my target (jerking the release trigger when I shot) and hit the very top of my target causing the arrow to skim off the top and fly into the tree line behind my house. Never found that arrow. (maxima hunter). So i went back inside and grabbed another broadhead out of the pack and put it onto another arrow. When i began to pull back for the second shot the release must not have been on my d loop completely (because my finger was nowhere near the trigger) and after pulling back only about an inch or two the arrow launched from the string going through the tree line once again not to be found. At that point I called it a day and went inside and watched the outdoor channel, while licking my wounds. What an expensive and all around bad practice session.:oops:
  16. spray some scent away or scent killer on it... or whatever scent prevention system you use... i spray my bow down everytime i go into the woods... the stuff driesand hasnt rusted my bow after 5 years of doing so
  17. I don't really know to be honest. My best guess would be, if you don't see them anywhere locally in stores, try looking them up on ebay.
  18. it would depend on if i knew the previous owner and how they took care of the bow... if i bought a used one i would more than likely go to my local shop and have them put on a new string for me
  19. maybe try a string stop? if it doesnt work you can always take it back... i couldnt see if there were any string silencers on the string but if they arent on there maybe try adding them as well...
  20. i was under the impression that the blazer vanes were made to withstand rests like the WB?
  21. my dad hunted south dakota last year with C & D outfitters... he said it was one of the coolest hunts he has ever been on... he and his guide crawled for 200 yards on their bellies to come within 50 yards of a 130" 280 lb whitetail buck... the kimber model 8400 classic select in .270 shot mag did the rest... he is going back this fall... hope this helped!
  22. i have not shot it... i wasnt looking for a speed bow when i went to my local shop to purchase a bow.. i went with the maxxis... liked the turbohawk as well...
  23. im going to try the magnus snuffer ss this year... i hear they fly very well and they have a lifetime warranty
