  1. I shoot Carbon Express Heritage. Strong and kind of on the heavy end at 10 gpi. I would love to try the Alaska Bowhunting Supplies Grizzly Stiks but they are out of my price range right now.
  2. Great job! I think the criminal history of a defendant should be projected on a large screen throughout the entire trial for the jurors to stare at!
  3. My opinion is the higher ups in these organizations care very little about animals. It is about money to them. But as for the local shleters, I am sure they care.
  4. Good job everyone. It was fun.
  5. I shoot the Carbon Express Heritage arrows. I shoot the 150's and they are 10 gpi. They are tough, and look like wooden arrows. I've had a couple people in my league ask me if I was shooting wooden arrows. I have yet to break one. Much more durable than what I used to shoot.
  6. I say give it some time. Too early to tell what they are doing to ya. Urgent care unit? Is that more busy? Is that why you want to work that unit?
  7. I shoot an 870 first and foremost because it is a high quality shotgun. It is easy to field strip, well made and parts are easily obtainable. I also like to support local companies as I live a few miles from Remington.
  8. If you shoot single bevel broadheads they are kind of a pain to get out of this type of layered target. They rotate in the target and when I pull the arrow out the broadhead gets stuck on the layers.
  9. That kid didn't know if it was Tuesday or July after that one! haha
  10. I've owned an F 1 Chrony for a couple years now. Seemed to work good at first. Now it seems no matter what I do I can't get a reading when i shoot my arrows through it. Usually gives me an error that one of the lenses had an error. Anybody have similar experiences with this model. I'm guessing it is out of warranty, but I hardly use it. Very frustrating. Maybe I'll try to use it more when this winter decides to go away.
  11. Congrats. Glad you got one too. It was fun. Especially after last year when my muzzleloader failed me on a wet day. My fault, lack of experience in keeping moisture out of the barrel.
  12. Meant to say hard to beat a Sig. Yup I see the SAO. I didn't pay much attention to that at first. lol. I have some snap caps in 9mm, not 40. 4.57 for 5 shots is great in my opinion. I remember when i bought my Sig it was back in 1996 or so when the .40 was real popular. They were hard to get. I ordered one and was quoted a specific price. Several months later the gun came in and the dealer jacked the price up another 25 bucks. He said he could get more for the gun, so pay it or he'll sell it to someone else. Probably why he is now out of business.
  13. Hard to be a Sig. I have a 229 in .40 caliber. Are you shooting the first shot double action? Good shooting!
  14. It isn't supposed to matter, but when I first installed it and shot cock feather down, there was fletching contact. I just switched it to cock feather up and watched my indoor archery scores go up from 380's and 390's to well over 400. This rest made a hug difference in my scores.
  15. Doesn't suprise me a bit. Makes you wonder if this was a crime of opportunity or this guy's M.O. People do much worse than that every day. People like that make me sick. Unfortunately the guy will get arrested, pay a small fine, and be right back at it. He's probably on probation to begin with.
  16. A while back I used to work at Sears and I both sold and repaired washers and dryers. I basically taught myself how to repair them as I worked at an outler store where we sold "scratch and dent" items. Kenmore is Whirlpool as mentioned. Decent quality and availability of parts is excellent. At least the top loader is. Kenmore appliances are made by many different manufacturers, but last I knew the washers and dryers were Whirlpool. Don't know about front loaders. They are easy to work on, but like anything, it may last 10 years, or maybe 5. You never know.
  17. I'd shoot that combo over a chrono to get some figures. On a side note it must be nice to live in a state that allows a parent to decide when their child can hunt with them. N.Y. - never!! Luckily for us we have politicians who know nothing about hunting deciding what is best for us.

  19. Why can't deer learn to just get along?
  20. Nope. If they truly are friends, I see no problem. We have all heard stories of hunters inviting "friends" who then invite "friends" and the land is then no longer available to hunt. I'd say that type of person is more of an acquantance. If the person truly is a friend, then I say no problem sharing all your secrets. I have learned it is better to give than receive. This is a personal decision. Good luck with it.
  21. Thanks for the replies everyone. I have a restored faith in my muzzleloader after a couple bad years with it.
  22. Any predicitions? As you all can see I am a Colts fan. I'm a little tired already from all the hype the Jet's are getting. Making post game plans, parades, etc... I hope all that is rumor. Rex Ryan says he will be amazed if the Jet's lose, or something like that???? I like the way the Colts sit back and remain quiet. Now I just hope they crush the Jets. By the way, the Jets are my second favorite team, if there even is such a thing. Colts 27, Jets 13. Man I hope I am right. If not, that's what I get for making a prediction. Don't let me down Peyton!
  23. Police Uniforms All of my uniform apparel is provided free of charge. We also get a uniform allowance on top of that. Guess were lucky. Since i went to plain clothes, obviously they were not provided but my allowance went way up.
  24. I think alot of it is staged. I saw a clip on youtube where he is showing this big crack in the ground and how dangerous it was. Then the camera pans and a car is driving on a road in the background. hmmm.
