oh, hahaha, if i could shoot I would, my folks house is inside a neighborhood that is lake front and shooting is really not an option. I am only going to be here for a week so I am tryin to get as many as I can. As of now, and I catching them in a live trap that is tied off to the dock. It is freaking amazing how many of these stupid things there is. Everyday you will see only one swimming around, but each night I have caught one and still every day there is one swimming around. do these things migrate to areas where one used to live? am I attracting more to the area by taking them out? does that make sense?
  3. I shoot a ruger 22-250, during the off season i practice shooting 500 yard shots at least 4 times a week. I also reload 40 grain moly v-max for it and have it dialed in to shoot 3 inch groups at 500 yards. This is my coyote gun and has not failed me yet. I dont know what kind of long distance shots you are thinking you are going to take, but the best thing you can do is practice. I would never ever ever take a shot over 300 yards if i didnt shoot my gun as much as I do. Anyhow, i like the 22-250 the best for yotes or the 220swift. My best friend and shooing buddy has a 220 swift and we shoot both guns a lot. We have them both dialed in for 500 yards shots and 3 inch groups, the 220 is a tick faster than my 250, but they both work great. So my opinion is the 22-250. good luck and practice!!!!
  4. Perspective One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father. The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them." The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are." Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have. Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends! Pass this on to family, friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation. "Life is too short and friends are too few." Thanks for all the friends that i have met here at RT!!!!

I do not know anymore of the story on the drop tine buck. It was posted on another forum from a member. There was not a kill thread about it, so I am going to assume the deer was not harvested.

we are having a serious problem here in NC with these stupid things. They have chewed the boot on the boat once already causing it to sink. anyhow, i can not seem to find any regulations on these things about killing or trapping. Just wondering if anybody knows the law on what i can do about them. I have been doing my own control of some sort but would like to not be breakin any laws in the process....
  13. fyi use the clear, matches all colors pretty well:D also use your finger to "lay" the bead down, so its not to noticeable
  14. while working at the auto shop in college I came across this situation a lot. after trial and error we figured out siliconing the outside top section of rubber from side to side is the best bet and can be done without anyone noticing the silicon. make sure you do the entire length of the rubber, if not the water will get in the rubber on the other side and travel down the "valley" to where it enters the truck. but do it on the outside, not inside of the window. if done in the inside the water will still get in the rubber and stay there, molding and will eventually find its way down the side and start leaking out of the bottom of the window.
  15. was it a front or rear blow out on your truck?
