So, I need some opinions. I am at a crossroads and am not exactly sure what I want to purchase. As of right now, the largest rifle I have is a 270. I hunt and kill plenty of deer with this rifle and am 100% confident in my ability to hit exactly where I am aiming with it. That being said, I am wanting to go bigger. I will be hunting whitetails, mule deer, antelope, elk and possibly bear with this new rifle and am thinking about something in the 300WSM range. Unless talked into something else. My budget will be no more than 850 bucks for the rifle. If these were your objectives to fill, which gun would you purchase? I know the 270 will kill any deer, antelope or elk I shoot at, but the itch to go a little bigger is here. Shots will range from 25 yards to 400+ yards.

And I bet some dont even know if they have kids or not. But, I will say one dang thing. There is absolutely nothing racist in this thread. I still cant really believe that came out. It's like the stories you hear of the white and black kid that got in a fight at school over how they played at the football game and the parents say it was a hate crime because it was two kids of the opposite race when all it really was was two boys fighting about how one didnt block for the other or something stupid like that. I'm man and not afraid of my recoil, thats why I shoot a 3.5! But really. A 3.5 #2 has more shot in it than a 3" #4. So I am getting bigger shot as well as more shot and have it coming out of my gun faster. I like that. I also have the possibility of shooting Canadas in all of my duck spots and like the #2s on them. But then again when I hunt non goose days, I still shoot 3.5s. Its nice to be able to reach out and drop birds when I have friends in the blind that shoot their 3 times and the bird is still flying and I shoot last and drop the thing. If your shoulder can handle it, I would say go for it. I have been through almost 2 cases of shells this year with hunting and all my pre season skeet shooting. My shoulder can handle it well. Plus, my gun is like shooting a BBgun anyways. SBEII

I dont see anywhere in your original post about having your 2 year old "needing" to take a spanish class or "need" to know spainsh. You dont want him to know spanish or deal with it or hear about how cars pollute the world, dont let him watch that. Your call, Dad.

Someone mention a fence? I have a post you can borrow. If I ever have kids I would never take away any daily educational stuff that liked or watched. I have no problems with kids learning any and all that they can. Learning a second language is nothing to be ashamed of and actually very useful in the work force. Holding my kids back from the world is something I would not want to do as a parent.

Give this guy a raise! As a 'Thank you' for doing his live hunts this hunting season, Tim insisted on sending me something. I gave up my address after a long hard battle with him and I got a package in the mail today. This is what I got! Thank you so much for the gifts Tim. Also, thanks for allowing me the opportunity to do the live hunts for you. It was a great experience and I look forward to doing all your hunts next year. I have met a great person and gained a life long friend in the process, well three of them. Cant forget these guys as well. They are some pretty dang important people in the process and guys I am truely honored to be associated with.

any public poll about matters that deal with Gun owners matter. This poll might not become of anything but all we need is some organization tracking polls across the country and finding one that has the votes saying we need way tighter gun control laws and using it as ammo against us. Its all politics and using whatever they can against us.
