OK, I'm giving this one self-gratuitus bump. Have any of you out there looked at these things? Looks like a neat idea for filming your bowshots, but after 18 views and no posts i guess it aint that neat....
  2. OMG.....where's the cabbage? Slaw is wrong? Dude they got counseling for that.....
  3. Sounds sweet. I picked up mine on ebay too. Great place to see a lot of models with great dicounts if you dont mind shooting last year's models or used equipment.
  4. Here's one of my favorites, you can put out a little or a lot and is super liquid tite: http://www.edgefieldoutdoorproducts.com/wickster.html Now if i can just remember what tree i left it in, havent seen it in a while.......
  5. Thanks, Todd. I do have a turkey scope, but i never got the gun tapped for a mount. It's an older 835, i think the newer ones are tapped already.
  6. I have got to do this, my only problem is my charcoal smoker aint exactly great for controlling temps. but this recipie looks more like the real deal compared to most of the ones i see on the net where you basically are making meatloaf in the oven in rolls and putting it in the fridge. I'm going to shoot one more deer before the 31st, maybe i can figure out something to try like this. Thanks guys!!
  7. Now that looks like the real deal.... You tried this one out yourself?
  8. It seems they know no bounds...................
  9. I just upgraded from a 12 year old high country last year. the bow was just as good as the day i bought it, but i wanted something faster. I think the big question is: how much you want to spend? I picked up a 2 year old fred bear new in the box for less than half price plus rest, quiver, and sights. Like it was mentioned earlier, you can find deals on last years models.......but.....if you got it.....spend it!
  10. OMG, as if i didnt already post in enough forums, Heavy Metal's got me hooked on a new one.......
  11. I'm looking for an old refrigerator. An old guy at the fire dept told me the old ones (with the metal inside instead of plastic) make the best smokers. All metal, insulated, just knock out the bottom, and install your racks. Just some beautiful addition for my wife to stare at in the back yard......
  12. That is awesome! I aint even gonna say what my grinder looks like (dude my arm gets tired)..... but i want to pop one more nanny this year and get some tenderized steaks made up, but would love to get the guys at the camp to chip in and get a good machine to keep down there. I'm going to check that site out some more and see what all they got cookin.
  13. Thanks HeavyMetal!!!! I will definitely do that! Like most in here, i get most of my meat processed, though i have done a lot on my own in the past (except smoked sausage). I agree, doing it yourself not only saves $, but is very satisfying in the end. Thanks again!!
  14. I've tried 2-3 loads (all 3.5") and a couple of chokes. It looks descent on paper, but i done had 2 birds run off at 30 yard shots, and another i had to shoot twice. I did better in the old days with my rem 1100. I have some friends though that love their 835. I'm kinda at a loss.

I really want one of these next year, but right now the ones i see are too pricey for the quality of video you get. Anyone know of any others? www.roscoby.com
  16. We were going to get my dad a razor edge for christmas (he suffered a spinal cord injury a few years back and has less strength than he used to) My understanding of it is that it has way more adjustment than just 10 lbs: c/p With two peak draw weight versions available and the ability to back down 50%, the Razor Edge can cover a range from 15 to 60 pounds. Such flexibility makes the Razor Edge the only bow that can accommodate an archer from first-time shooter to successful big game hunter.

    Catfish

Great fish!! I'm waiting just a very few more weeks to set some hooks.....Cant wait!
  18. They're not bad at all. About two years ago I started a mission to thin them out at the camp. I was selling about 2-5 a week at work for as much as $15 each....(i know, god what a boston butt you could get for that money...) but they would pay it, especially when they are having a superbowl or new year's party! hahaha
  19. Does anyone know how to make summer sausage? I see lots of recipies when i google it, but nothing looks like they would turn out into the nice perfectly wrapped jalepeno and cheese rolls that my deer processor does. I'd like to do some myself.
  20. I've had my mossberg 835 for about 4 years now, and have been less than impressed with it's ability to drop a turkey. anyone shot one of those stoegers? my dealer had a great deal on pumps last year and i am thinking about upgrading.
  21. Dang....I go to the woods to get away from women......
  22. Those are great pics!! I love the way the antler kept the exact same splits from year to year, just increasing mass. I'm still trying to kill 'em with horns attached......season dont end here till the 31st.
  23. i missed reading the "max" length... oh well.... happy hunting
  24. I've got a H&R handi-rifle 45-70 with 325gr hornadys. Shoots good to 200 yards. Dont know how they are priced now, but was around 225 a couple of years ago.
  25. that's correct. i havent even fired the .22, but shot the 20ga about 3 times and no problems there. of course i aint going to cuss when it snaps on a rabbit......... i did kill a 12pt christmas day with it and was praying the thing didnt snap then for sure.
