  1. Some on here far more accomplished at it than me, but I will tell you scent control is at the top of the list for calling in a coyote. Lots of good set-ups, calls, tips, tricks etc you can read up on, but the dogs are extremely smart and will approach from downwind, and if all is not right you will never see them. Welcome to the forums, where are you from?
  2. Come on dude, this is a family friendly site! Had sandwiches last night. Double-Header ball games and got in after 9 with homework still to be done. May do pork loin tonight, too many irons in the fire, and supper gets to be pretty much like scarfing down an MRE sometimes.
  3. Appears to be a scaly-bark hickory Actually the proper name is shagbark: https://fp.auburn.edu/sfws/samuelson/dendrology/ We call them scaly bark around here...... IF it is a hickory.
  4. I was thinking he had the chili for lunch!
  5. Firm believer in climate change here, we're getting some strange weather patterns for sure all over the country, bringing more drought and flooding. I predict it will get much worse over the next couple of decades.

    Problems?

I didnt notice the 5-Star thing till just now. ..... of course most of my threads are quickly rated 5-Stars so it didn't catch my eye. Also noticed smilies arent working correctly unless you type them.
  7. If it helps, I got a unit at Lowe's for around 24 bucks. I think it was a Fi-Shock. Works well. Had a smaller "pet-safe" unit one time, and my dogs would run through it. Get something that at least has a picture of a cow on the front, lol.
  8. As a child, being both young and dumb, anything that could be brought down with a BB was fair game. I can assure you I never touched the population in a measurable way. Robins on the other hand were always dumb enough to sit there a little too long as I worked my stealthy magic. :clown: The only birds that were actually off limits were blue birds, hawks, and owls, not that I stood much chance of taking down the latter 2 anyhow.
  9. Haven't seen one around here in ages. Used to be a trophy with the BB gun as a kid. I may have killed the last of their kind. :gun2:
  10. Can't get good international food round here, cept for Mexican and a few good Asian joints. Would like to try some good spicy curry though.
  11. Speak English man! Is that like possum?
  12. Looks clear enough. I can tell you have a spider system there. Never have been fond of them, though they serve their purpose. I think you'd be better off installing a metal graduated duct with some snap-lock pipe going off to your registers, though I know as well as you do that's going to incur more cost than you likely had figured. I've never been a big fan of flex duct or spider set-ups. If your roof/rafters allow for a straight shot of trunk line, it's worth pricing. Have someone make some up and you can still install it yourself and save some cash. Easy to cut holes in the trunk and come off with snap-loc, then wrap it up and your good. just an opinion, I have beat a lot of duct together, but that was years ago, and I was just a gopher, wasn't a layout guy.
  13. Good deal Chris, I need a plan B myself, this automotive business is on shaky grounds these days. Hope things work out well for you. What degree are you looking to add now?
  14. This is what folks I know use to help them figure it out: I know that's not a lot of help.
  15. I'm a lot better hvac mechanic than a duct person (not much of that either)... but.... I would suggest starting by doing a sketch of the house showing room sizes and layout then scan it in and post it. It's not only the size of the rooms that matter, but how far down the trunk line they are branched off at along the way. Got to keep reducing the duct size the farther away you get from the plenum you get to maintain pressure. Too large on the branches, and you'll starve yourself downstream, too small and you'll hear whistling from the high velocity air going across the grills. You can pick up a "ductulator" at most any refrig shop that helps to calculate sizes.
  16. And for what its worth, nobody around here puts the "r" on the end of "killdee" Don't ax me why.
  17. I like playing with the killdeers. Nesting on the ground, you can walk up close to them and mama will fake a broken wing and try to get you to follow her away from the nest. Pretty cool.
  18. Very interesting. I'm still a bit skeptical at the idea but it does sound good.
  19. Keep fighting Steve, still praying for you!
  20. Joe I don't know that a fence will solve your problem. I would start cheap with a fence charger and see how that went for you first. You can put up a couple strands of wire fast and cheap compared to other fences. 10,000 volts will get their attention.
  21. Nothing wrong with some black.don't know about the military, but deer don't mind it I assure you. Most camo paints work fine a long as you do it and let out sit outside a few Weeks in advance.
  22. Yeah that stinks. Either he turkey hunts or he just don't like you!
  23. You can text your phone if lost and get a google map of its location. Also if someone gets my phone and changes Sim cards it will text my wife the new number. You can also text your phone to ring loud even if its on vibrate. Free app too
