  1. Cool pics Mike. I gave up trying to take pics while I'm hunting. I just do one or the other now. I blew too many shots with one because I had the other, lol
  2. Those are awesome Ruth! You sure our boy Chenango Dave doesn't need to go inventory his cams?.:shifty:
  3. Caught this one poking around my stand this afternoon. 18 yd shot from 16' stand. My first bowkill from a treestand.:toot: I'll say 11 1/2"
  4. That's friggin nuts. You sure you didn't walk up on someone in the process of stealing your stand? Glad all ended without injury or worse. Hard to believe there's anyone out there that would try to purposely put someone in such a dangerous position but I could be wrong.
  5. Sweet shots. How do you keep the plankton on the hook.
  6. Agree with the guys above. The Black and White scrolling thumbs at the bottom of the page were a bit distracting as well....I think some color would have brought some more clarity and a bit more appealing slightly enlarged in a stationary gallery someplace else Found my face about 6 inches from my monitor by the time I was done looking around. Content looked good.
  7. Taking a chance posting this one- made me laugh this morning. Hope I don't get banned for it.:disolve: Today's word is................. Fluctuations I was at my bank today; there was a short line. There was just one lady in front of me, an Asian lady who was trying to exchange yen for dollars. It was obvious she was a little irritated . . . She asked the teller, "Why it change? Yesterday, I get two hunat dolla fo yen. Today I only get hunat eighty? Why it change?" The teller shrugged his shoulders and said, "Fluctuations." The Asian lady says, "Fluc you white people too"
  8. I appreciate the guesstimates. Guess I wasn't too far off. Nice to see a couple like this running 'round the neighborhood to keep the hopes high throughout the season. Fat chance I'll get to target either of them due to posting and no hunting, but the rut could very well land them right in one of my backyards not 2 miles from either of them. These bucks were 25 miles apart William so I doubt thats the 2'nd buck in the first pic.
  9. Congrats on the kill and recovery mission. I'd have probably camped out for the night and searched in the a.m. You guys got pretty lucky under the circumstances. Good job.
  10. While you're at it....take a stab at this one too? I'm no good at this kinda stuff but would like to hear some opinions. and a better look at the spread
  11. What you think. Taken in September at the bean field still in velvet. I really don't care but I know some of you get pretty close with your guestimates so I'm a bit curious.
  12. Joining the club today myself. Nice wide 8. Shot over his back and think I got some antler as he spun around. My first hunt in a loooong time from a tree....still haven't killed one from above.:boo: Someday......
  13. Steak and cheese Hot Pockets tonight. Probably a big salad on the side full o' bacon bits, then another box of Hot Pockets washed down with a mug of Gennesseewer.
  14. Good shootin' rem.:gun2: This squill hunting stuff's getting pretty expensive with archery tackle. Little suckers set me back about $60 already. Once I break my slump it will be worth it....and a little quieter in the deer woods.:boo:
  15. That's enough to make everything better.
  16. Pretty cool shots SS. I like that B&W ram best but they're all sweet.
  17. Looks like the infamous 'black hole' or 'dead zone' in the vitals that arrows pass through when game goes unrecovered from a seemingly perfect shot. That guy seems to be evolving to a whole new level.:jaw:
  18. I'm doing just the opposite this year....gonna go into season bald as a beachball and babys butt smooth.
  19. Good luck and a safe season to all. Got some beautiful weather on the way!:cool2:
  20. Good to see things heating up on the homefront as the temps plummet.
  21. Some sweet shots William. Looks like you have a "wide" variety to choose from.:cool2:
  22. Great shots Birdman, you should be a photographer when grow up. Happy B-day too.

    Toby Kieth

I recently met Toby at a local tavern after one of his shows here. Pretty cool dude, just tough to get close to in that atmosphere. Haven't got his new disk yet but probably will soon.
