Re: Went shooting today (pics) The scenery is awesome, but the first thing I thought was that it was great to see you get those girls into shooting. Women and the kids are so important to our future. Good job. S

Re: The Question for the RealTree Pros!!! It is my (personal) opinion that if a deer is in an enclosed property, that the hunter that takes that animal should not be eligible for a B&C or P&Y record. That doesn't mean I'm totally against folks who hunt that way. Shoot. If a deer is in a 30,000 acre enclosure, there is a darn good chance he never sees the fence. I just think that you can't take an animal that doesn't have a chance to completely allude your hunting talents.

Re: New Jimmy Houston Camo!!! JOKE!!! No midnight oil here. I am in Vegas and it's early (9:50 PM). S

Re: MY MOD STATUS Mike, I appreciate what you have done for the forums and most of all for your dedication to our country. S

Re: New Jimmy Houston Camo!!! JOKE!!! Lighten up guys. I don't know enough to have an opinion on this (as far as what Jimmy has done), but did chuckle when I saw it. Looks like someone just having a little fun.

Re: The Question for the RealTree Pros!!! Not at all. And the story you heard about Bill could be true, just not sure because we have never discussed it. Could be though. They have a lot of funny/interesting stories from when they were just starting out.

Re: The Question for the RealTree Pros!!! Canned hunts? No. High fenced hunts? Yes, but not in a long time and not again. When I say fenced hunts, we are talking anywhere from 10,000-50,000 acres and we have not hunted those in 4 or 5 years. If you were to see a couple of early hunts that Bill and David did, there were a couple that were much smaller (The Sanctuary in MI was one). At the time, hunting videos or even filming a hunt was a new thing and fenced hunting (to my knowledge was too). If not, it was to our guys. I have since talked with David about those early years and he regrets them ever doing it. They don't deny it, and have made it very clear that those type operations are not what hunting is about and we don't support it. Thanks, S

Got this from our IT guy tonight and thought I would pass it along: Team: It has come to my attention that for users of Windows XP, tomorrows date, February 3 is set to be a trigger for a particularly nasty Worm who’s sole purpose is to destroy data on your hard drive. Realtree’s network is protected by some of the best Anti-Virus software available and I don’t expect there to be any problems. You can help us avoid anything bad by following one simple rule: Do not under any circumstances open an email from someone you don’t know, especially if it contains an attachment! Thank you

I just received the news that his Pike County Monster will be featured on the all new Monster Bucks XIV that will be released this spring. And yes, I did let David and the guys know earlier this week that there was a lot of support for this decision here in the forums. Even gave them the link. S

Re: Married People: what keeps the.... 16 years for Lori and I in March. You have to remember that marriage is about love, friendship and the ability to compromise. There is no room for selfishness.

THE GREAT COLORADO ELK HUNT
Team Realtree replied to stevebeilgard's topic in Announcements & Online Contests
Re: THE GREAT COLORADO ELK HUNT You guys better sign on here. I'm planning on being there and want to meet and spend some time with many of you. I told Steve B. today that I am leaning more toward the Oct. rifle hunt because of the timing and other commitments I have. Let's get this figured out and scheduled. And please realize that these hunts are a once in a life time chance because you usually have outfitter charges added on. Like most of you, I can't afford those and will do all I can to do this now. S S -
That\'s Funny... ...and you can print this. Bill Jordan hasn't offered anyone in VA or anywhere else, money to kill a big deer or a world record deer. If your friends want to dispute this, just give them my email address and I will. I will be tied up all day tomorrow, but if there are other developments tomorrow, please email me at [email protected] and I will be glad to answer any questions folks might have. S

Tell us what you like or don’t like about the Monster Buck videos. Since we’ve begin preliminary productions on Monster Buck XIV, we would value your opinion on what would make it better and better! Do you want to see more of the archery tournament? Do you like the “competition” aspect between the hunts? What kind of hunts do you buy a DVD to see? Bowhunts? Gun hunts? Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks for your support. Realtree Productions

Re: Double Click Banner Adds We do not use Dart Double Click and haven't in two years. Even when we did, we did not subscribe to any source gathering stuff they had. Even with the new ad hosting company we have, we only find out how many people see an ad and how many click on it. There is no way to get personal info. The only way someone can get that info from you is if you agree to fill out some type of online form. And by the way. If you sign up for our email or buy something from our store, your info is never sold, rented or given to anyone. That is a policy I set 6 years ago and it will stay in place as long as I am heading up this site. You have my word. S

Re: Add your location to our \"Frapper Map!\" Some of the zoom and scroll controls on the lefthand sides are cool!
-
Re: Add your location to our \"Frapper Map!\" You can also zoom in with the tools on the left and scroll to see more detailed areas of where folks live (by zip only).
-
Re: Add your location to our \"Frapper Map!\" Cool guys. 5 or 6 in the first 10 minutes. This will be a neat way to see where everyone is located. I also see that folks are adding pics.

Re: Add your location to our \"Frapper Map!\" Do now. Sorry. S

A cool site I found tonight. I have begun this online map. You can go in and "Add Yourself" on the righthand side. Let's see how much area we cover. In the Shoutout portion of the sign-up you can post your own personal message to others. Link: http://www.risingconcepts.com/frapper/realtreeonlineforums Pretty cool. Hope you all participate! S

*APPROPRIATE CONDUCT and ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR* There has been some questionable behavior in the Youth Room lately, so we feel the need to lay down some basic ground rules on how members should conduct themselves......so they may be held accountable. (1) This is a Youth Room.....and while many of you may be teenagers, there are also many pre-teens that visit as well. Let's keep that in mind, keeping our topics and replies clean in content and language. (2) While some adults may visit this room from time to time, there should be absolutely ZERO inappropriate comments or interactions between adults and the youth. This includes flirting, questionable comments, or any other behavior that is not acceptable. You know what is right and what is wrong........the adults of this forum need to be stewards for the youth, and lead by example. (3) The Moderators of the Realtree forums are here to help, but we can not be online 24/7......so you will be expected to police your own actions and comments. Also, if something is posted that is offensive to you, or may be to another member we hope that you would quickly contact several Moderators in hopes of reaching one, so that action may be taken. That action may be a simply editing or deletion of a post, including a warning....or if more serious, it could warrant a banning from these forums. Thank you for your continued efforts in making Realtree.com and it's Youth Room the best on the net.
