Im totally perplexed...I thought it was only legal during and only during archery season in Illinois....Im calling the DNR on Monday....really thought it to be illegal during shotgun season....al

Actually this posts origin has to deal with an Illinois website, which I wont bash, but they actually put on their front page a dad and sons hunt during shotgun season.....then posted the whole story on how they lured this buck into range using their doe decoy, during shotgun season......which is totally illegal....shame on the people running the show there......and before that, they had a woman brag of shooting a deer from the house, in her nightgown, from the window....which is also extremely illegal.....I know Realtree wont follow suit, but it sure is amazing to me on how things go from bad to worse. al

If you have game laws, you must follow them for that state....please, by all means, if you have taken a deer illegally or in questionable hunting standards, dont corrupt our forum as we are respected hunters, and will not tolerate such actions. For example., some states only allow ONE antlered deer for the 2009-2010 season, period. No matter how it is taken, one antlered deer is one antlered deer. I am intelligent enough to do research before posting such a thread. Follow the law, be safe and God Bless. al

It is my HR Ultra Slug Hunter I purchased from a wiley guy from Ohio only known as Ohiobucks, or aka Doe killer..........I shot my first deer with it last year, a 12 year old donkey doe from Illinois....went and shot the lightfields yesterday with the Swift scope and man, put three in the same hole at 75 yards in high winds...........gotta love the gun and slug combo. al

Folks...they are hard to find in my area, but when I do, I buy as many as I can afford.....I shoot about the size of a 50 cent piece with 10 rounds at 50-75 yards, and they all touch.....absolutely love this sabot.............al
