  1. The fuss is why kill it for the sake of killing it ? Should we start doing it with stray dogs and cats thet get into my garbage that no ones claims ? With a gun for a fast clean kill is one thing, but to shoot it in the face with a bow and have it suffer and fall out of the tree is just plain stupid and I for one would not want to be associated with anyone doing that " just for fun " I thought you for sure would get that Steve ?? For a forum and members that boast this to be one of the best sites out there which I agree it is because we are ethical hunters doing the right thing this was far from it, coon or not shots should be made ethically and properly, shooting a coon in the face through branches with a broadhead is not one of them !
  2. Really stupid thing to do, not sure why they would post it on the web either. Gives the rest of us hunters a bad name. Dont get me wrong if you are on a coon hunt then fine shoot away, the title says they were on a bear hunt in Canada so hunt bear dont kill that coon just for the sake of doing it. I say again REAL STUPID !
  3. Did he say by chance why they dropped his show from TV I kinda liked it ?

  5. Other than the I40 the Scoutguards are by far the best commercial cam out there and believe me I have owned all the makes out there. Sounds to me like the software on the cam had an issue and might have needed updating. There might have been a hardware issue to though it happens with everyone. I have not bought any from Bee Busy but have heard very good things about them so I am glad they are making it right. Yes these cams use AA and they get better life than any C or D camera believe me, the video quality is great as well. Once you get your replacement I know you will be happy !
  6. Thanks Shaun its actually down near Hawksebury.
  7. Well Turkey opened up for us today and I was lucky enough to get this nice big tom. They called for nice weather actually called for it to be in the 80's but when the sun came up we had overcast and light rain but very hot. We had one hen fly down from the roost but the toms were not responding to any calls at all. We had not even been hearing any hens to date either when scouting. about 20 min after the hen flew down she was about 150 yrds away we saw a nice tom come out of the hardwoods and into the field towards her and our decoys and we finally got him gobbling back to us. All of a sudden we had Toms answering all around us about 5 Toms from all directions. The biggest bird was the one I took but he came from the field behind us and he would have to walk a field edge and come through an access road to get to us. I had him at 12 inches behind me numerous times trying to get through the rasberry bushes but he would not committ and come through. Finally after playing with him for about 50 minutes we got him to walk all the way around and come through the opening to our field and I shot him at about 30 yrds ! He weights 24lbs has just shy of a 9.5 inch beard and just over 1 inch spurs !! We tried to get my partner on another bird right after but with no luck so we go out again Fri morning !!

  10. Well I got back late last night from the PA show and all I can say is WOW ! I was told to expect allot of people but the amount I actually saw blew me away ! The place was jam packed. You should have seen the line around the building before the doors opened I could not believe my eyes. It was a great show and if you are a hunter I would suggest you make the drive and see it. Took me 7 hours each way but it was well worth it. I met up with a bunch of friends in the industry like Lee and Tiff and many other inlcuding Tim Andrus from RT. Tim and I were suppose to have dinner last night but my nephew who I brought with me got really sick so I left last night and drove right through to get him home. There were people there from Outfitters, the big makers like TC, Hoyt ect and then TONS and I mean TONS of stuff you can buy discounted right there on the floor from Nikon, Lacrosse, Camo everything. I can tell you to plan on a FULL 2 days to see the show you will need it. We also went down the day before and hit the huge Cabelas store which is right there and spent a small fortune Here are a few pics. Me with Lee and Tiff Me with Tim Me with Tim and Larry Weishuhn The new Crush Shirts from Lee and Tiff I have a shirt signed by most of the people I know in the industry I keep framed in my office. I was able to add to it with Larry and some of the Primos boys.
