Re: In-Line or Traditional Shooter? I hunt with a sidelock only.(percussion cap) I also only use open sights. I am a hunter and I like to get as close to the game as the people did in the past while hunting with a muzzleloader. It works out best for me that way.Eventually I will go to a flintlock using round balls someday to really have some fun. My son's use in lines and are going to put a scope on their rig. No problem from me since I am the one who is helping them.. It works for them. I always say it is what works for some doesnt work for others. Some are lazy and some aren't.

Tonight was meet one of wrasslin season for the boys. LittleNut did not wrassle as he was beaten in wrassle off at school. TurkeyEye did get to wrassle and he did great the first period. Here is the pic of where he had the pin but the ref was out of position. So they ended up in the 2nd period. TE showed his stuff again and was at 7-1 by the end of the second period. They went to the 3rd period and the score was changing to 9-1 at this pic which was 10 seconds before the pin. Enjoyable night for TE except his team had to forfiet 4 weights classes and lost by 20 points. (They gave away 6 points for each forfeit)

Re: I hate liberals I know everyone is joking about taking the right to vote away. But it sorta irritated me a bit. (Hey it is opening day of gun here and I worked and have been sick all weekend ) But the right to vote is something that I strongly believe in. I encourage all to vote and never ever try to change the way one votes. Just to vote what they believe in. Even if it is against the way I believe.

Re: Who ISN\'T in the woods today? I went out this morning for some deer hunting by myself. Saw 4 but they was across the road. Yep I was hunting near the road.... made for a better get away(Plus I couldnt cross the dang creek it was up) Went to my parents at 10am and now am up after a brief nap.

If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all. I was a victim of a hit and skip driver on the way home from work. I was in the far lane from the curb and I saw someone coming out between 2 vehicles so I started to swerve to avoid em. Well they kept coming and hit the van at the door near the rear wheel.(oh it was raining cats and dogs which is why I didnt slam on the brakes) . I get stopped and look to see where they were. They were sitting there and I motioned them to go with me to a parking lot to get info and or call police. As I turned off to the drive they drive and I think they are going to turn around. I am parked now and get out to the damage and to wait for the other person.... well I go back to the road and they are not around at all. They never show up. I didnt get the license plate since I did not get a good view and I do not know what kind of dang car they had. I end up going to a police sub-station to file a report and remember I have a $500 deductable. So they must have been without insurance and got the heck out of Dodge before they got nailed. I am watching the Jim Belushi sitcom and they aRE having a turkey hunting thing. Guess they were hunting in Indiana for turkeys with a crossbow. (Believe that is illegal) and the turkey shot Jim in the behind because he left the crossbow on the ground while relieving himself. I could get ticked about all the irregularities and say bs to hollywood. (did that anyways) Wish they could get the rules correct. They had Jims buddy all dressed in red flannel. oops.... using a gobble call and other calls before being set up. Now they are hunting in the dark. But he got the bird at the end. Hit the bird with a truck at dark. errrr turkeys roost at night...... Dont they ever do any research? Of course not.

It is easy to type what you might do if this occured to you. I can honestly say I do not know what I would do until that moment happened. I just hope I would do something to help my friends and family that was there with me.

Well I almost got a little damaged Friday. I was doing some things on the inside of a new machine at work. (Lock out was on and everything was supposed to be fine) Well I moved the 4x4 board between the table and the head and the head came down toward my leg which was on table. Well luckily I got my leg out of harms way and only strained my back which is fine today. It scared me a moment and now I am wondering of what some of your close calls have been? Well lets hear some

My father-in-law is in the hospital and it looks like he had a stroke. So this also means I will stay closer to home with the boys for the youth gun opener.
