Yep. Comparable in weight to lead 6's.......................but with more pellets in the payload. And the smaller, harder pellets don't deform and have less frontal area. So they will out-penetrate the lead 6's. I've been VERY impressed with the HW7 shotshell's terminal performance on turkeys so far .

On a deer rifle I like a variable with a 2 or 3 on the low end and a 9 or a 10 on the top end. Scopes I have used and liked.............. Weaver V10 2-10 Burris Fullfield II 3-9 Nikon Titanium 3.3-10

Got to spend a little time last weekend with my newly put together 20 gauge at the patterning board. Ran a few 3" Winchester Supreme #5 shotshells through it at 30 yards to dial it in close on windage and elevation. It was printing 95-105 hits in the 10" circle through the sight-in shots. Then back to 40 yards to double check the sight-in with my intended hunting load and to see how it would print the hits. First try put 135 hits in the 10" circle at 40 yards. Pretty pleased with that. DEFINITELY a deadly hunting pattern. I'm just not sure how much I'm gonna monkey around chasing numbers...................... Trying different choke tubes gets expensive.

All I know is I start at 8:30 AM Finish up somewhere between 6:30 and 8:30 every night M-F So I work steady 5 10's or 5 12's

Been kicking it around, myself.............. Currently I am keeping 6 dedicated turkey guns in my safe. It's looking like this year I'll be going to my newly built 20 ga single barrel. That means my SX2 AND my SX3 will be parked. Kinda hard to put another grand into setting up a 7th gun with over $2k just in those two guns sitting, collecting dust.............. But, DANG, I'd like to run one !!!! Just to see........................

You catch those or buy those ?? Always wanted to try them. But they don't grow too terribly big around here. Would take a whole bunch to be worth messing with.

I added one of these to my accumulation a couple months ago........................ This little wee call is AMAZING !!!! I love pulling it out of the cabinet and wailing on it from time to time.

If I fire and do not reload, I take it home and clean the barrel and lock (this is a flint gun) like I would at the end of the season. If I fire and DO reload, I ain't burning that one off into the dirt to clean. I swab the barrel above the load with Windex soaked patches, then dry patches, then a WD-40 patch. It can sit a week or two til season is over. Then a thorough cleaning.

I'll go.................. Box........... I have so many. But the one that has watched more gobblers die than all the others combined is a Hally Caller Deluxe Box. Glass/slate/etc............ Is a walnut pot slate over glass that I made. I run a Dymondwood and/or flared mesquite striker on it Diaphragm............. A fellow named Gooserbat make a call named the Heckler. Freakin unbelievable for my style of calling !!! Other.............. Really don't use any calls in the "other" category, I guess Carry a crow call once in a long while
