Couple hours bowhunting this morning before the rain set in...................my first sit of the year. Errands, errands and more errands to be run keeping up with the ongoing home renovation . Off the next two weeks to hunt. Be putting in a couple 60-70 hr weeks in a tree unless a buck walks into one of my arrows sooner............

Tomorrow's our archery opener. My opener is in about 4-5 weeks..................... This early season stuff is a bit of a waste of good effort, IMO. Gonna wait for the bigger boys to start getting sloppy about their ways. May go out before first light just to make sure our local hoodlums remember where the property lines are..................... Putting up a pole building. Moved about 90 tons of fill last night. Have about 50 more to move tomorrow. Gonna go with my bro in the afternoon to look at a new (to us) tractor for the tree farm. Looking to change two 2WD machines into one 4WD.........................

They're gouging............................. The wholesale price of gasoline went up 30 cents/gal in under 24 hours the day after Harvey. So our local prices at the pump went up 30-45 cents/gallon. 3 days later it was back down to the same price it was BEFORE Harvey.............. Of course, living in the gasoline tax capital of the country doesn't help either............................... Pennsylvania politicians never met a tax they didn't like.

Come to western PA sometime........................ The average coal truck driver is BY FAR the most ignorant critter on the road. They can do whatever they want right in front of you and they know it. And they do it........... They're quite aware that a car or pickup truck will lose any tangle with a tri-axle dump and will have to accommodate WHATEVER it is the big truck does in front of them.......... There are a few that have a conscience. But they are rare.................

My backstraps get grilled brushed with a very light olive oil and sprinkled with garlic pepper.......................

Breakfast with the boys at the Junction at 7:00 tomorrow morning.........................then off to try to find a Dutchman I tried to find last Saturday. He makes t&g paneling from lumber you supply. I have about 1200 bd/ft of ash and a couple hundred cherry to be sawn. Hoping to add a couple more ash to the pile. Maybe tomorrow afternoon........................ Showing my Dad's old Pontiac to a perspective buyer at 10:00...........................need to mow grass.............................still about 7000 unsheared trees at the farm.........................need to move our big Kubota from the farm to my house ahead of some rock I have coming (50-75 tons) ......................and my 2016 buck mount is done and ready for me to pick up at some point..........................need to move a couple or 3 stands...................... So I have no lack of things to do...........
