  1. Will do !! The sweet thing about it is that the 3 acres of clover right along side of the turnip patch has just EXPLODED this summer. Anybody that doubts the investment in a tri-axle load of lime needs to see me.
  2. Go ahead...................... rub it in.
  3. I'm a solid hour and a half from Conway. Over handy Indiana and Punxsutawney. The ONLY reason we get ANY older bucks here is that I reserve my property as a sanctuary area in gun season and the neighbor lady has 100 acres that are posted solid. That saves us a few bucks each year. I keep threatening to spend some time in Ohio trying to get some permission to bowhunt. But I just haven't done it yet. I should.
  4. I'm in west/central PA. We get a few deer that make 3 1/2 and fewer that make 4 1/2. I've only ever seen a VERY few ever that I judged at 5 1/2 in my 35 years of hunting deer. The buck in the picture will get shot if I can get on him. But he is not at the top of the list if a couple of the bucks I know survived through last season are still in the area. They are both 4 1/2 this season. Both of them should be 140's-160's depending on how much they added this year.
  5. He's 3 1/2 Around here, if you get a chance at a good looking 3 1/2 year deer you'd better take it. They generally don't make it past 2 1/2.
  6. Pulled cards today with very little action on any of the cameras to get me excited. However.......... after the being out for 3 weeks this dude shows up 3 hours before I pulled the cards today !! A buddy of mine told me he had seen a REAL nice 3 buck bachelor group right around the hill from this camera just a few days ago. I should have at least 2 bucks a year class older than this one and they should both prove to be absolute BRUTES this season. But they have yet to show their faces in front of a Cuddeback. Nevertheless............... this guy walks by me........... he's gonna get it !! I'm thinking 130-ish.
  7. I be happy to have the choice and have to make that decision.
  8. Both. Yep. Cranked up to have everything come together in perfect timing. Cranked out after seeding 4 acres with a 20 lb. capacity Earth Way crank broadcaster. I had my 1000 gram Wolverine knee boots on. Not a bad idea for running the tractor. But for walking 3+ miles in tilled ground running the spreader................. not so much.
  9. Looking like it was meant to be !! We've gotten about 7/10" of rain in the 4 hours or so since we finished !!
  10. Was on the field by shortly after 6:00 this morning. Spent close to 2 hours with the disc getting everything nicely broken and some good reference lines made for seeding. Then spent about an hour and a half walking and cranking, walking and cranking, walking and cranking................
  11. It did and (except for one little wet 1/2 acre field) we are DONE !!!
  12. Now that's funny right there !! I don't care who you are !! That's funny !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Hopefully !! Plowed about 4 acres on Monday then got 1 1/4" of rain Tuesday night into Wednesday. So I got started with the disc tonight about 7:00 and quit around 9:30 with Lil's help. I think we're getting up with the chickens in the morning to finish up with the disc and get our turnip seed spun on. Forecast calls for rain tomorrow afternoon into Sunday so I think I will not even cover..........just let the seed "rain in". As an aside.......... this plot I'm doing is right beside my 3 acre clover strip. As I was running the disc tonight there was a smallish buck..... 6 or 8 pointer... and a pair of does munching away over there. They didn't get too concerned at all unless I made a turn near them which caused me to slow down. But several times I was close enough that if I had a decent clump of dirt I coulda beaned them.
  14. I've built gads of ingrounds. Wouldn't own one on a bet. The co$t, the cleaning, the maintenance, the repair, the chemicals............ You may be a little better off where you are. The hardest thing on an inground is the freeze/thaw cycle. It's especially hard on the plumbing. I would look into a structural foam wall panel pool with a liner. You could do almost all of the work yourself. Liners can snag and leak. But they are not hard to fix or replace. Concrete pools will need drained and painted periodically. So they are not fool proof either.
  15. They are a franchise. Funny you should mention it. I went on their site and was looking at franchisee details. You need a minimum net worth of a million bucks and available liquid assets a minimum of 1/2 a million. I left all that in my other pants so I guess I'm outta luck.
  16. WELCOME to the forums !!! Both of you !!!! If you are trapping for fox or coyote you will need to boil your traps. The canines are VERY sensitive to stinky traps. But it's not rust that they smell. It's human odor. Boiling removes that. Then you will want to get a coat of wax on them and hang them somewhere outside til you are ready to use them. You might want to get a good instructional book or video to help you get started.
  17. Yeah. Heated up and ate my last BoBerry tonite. :bummed:
  18. Know what you mean. I think there's only ONE BoJangles' north of the Mason-Dixon. If you ever head south be sure to wheel it in if you see the sign !!!!
  19. Yeah. Go ahead............... rub it in. :bummed:
  20. Top of the line, baby !!! In 1982 !!! My first compound was a brand new Bear Polar LTD. :gunsmilie: $125 right off the showroom floor.

  23. Me and Momma and the two little kiddos just got back last night from a well-needed R&R stint at the beach. We kept passing this Bojangles' restaurant on the way back to the hotel so one night we hit the drive through just to see. DANG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love at first bite !!! The best fried chicken I ever bought and fixins like Mom would make............ and BoBerries biscuits !!! Here's the bummer................. the nearest one to my house is 190 miles. I'm BUMMED !!!!!!!!
