  1. Re: TruFire Releases?? I use the Team Realtree buckle Hurricane release from TruFire, and you really can't beat it. It's great for any sized hands due to the fact that you can adjust the length of the release's neck to make it easier to use.
  2. Re: I took the Mathews Challenge.................. Hutchies, shoot the Trykon XL before you go for that Mathews.......you'll be amazed.
  3. Re: Roethlisberger, has emergency surgery Roethlisberger will be fine. Y'all are worried about nothing.......Having your appendix out now-a-days is such an unobtrusive surgery that it's nothing serious.
  4. Re: Champion mustang You done good getting that bow. Yes, Gary, I was refering to Dave, LMAO.
  5. Re: Tekan I blade opening testing! You knew I wouldn't stear ya wrong, Shawn.
  6. Re: Champion mustang I owned the Champion Mustang when it first came out and killed deer with it. I sold it to a forum member here and he's still shooting it as far as I know. I sold it in favor of another Champion Bow. My father still has his and he's killed numerous deer with his and a Caribou. They are an excellent bow, just make sure if you're looking at one that it's in good shape and you have a way of getting the parts to it as Champion went out of business a couple seasons ago.
  7. Re: West Virginia Bow Season. I bought my W Va license yesterday. I can't wait to head down this year.

    Hey Buckee!!!

Re: Hey Buckee!!! [ QUOTE ] Now that right there was halarious...LOL [/ QUOTE ] What part of that do you find funny? That guy could have been killed or seriously injured.
  9. Re: WVDNR Has No Common Sense I've been bowhunting in Lewis County for 8 years, and I've never had problems finding does. Will we still be able to shoot does with bows?
  10. Re: Not the biggest but the best Bucks ever That's a great story.
  11. Re: peanut butter!! Illegal here, but I bet it would work on most critters.
  12. Re: Question on center shot for Switchback and WB On most bows, slightly higher is where the nock should be. At full draw the arrow levels off and flies level upon release. You probably should have shot before moving anything.
  13. Re: Small game arrow in your deer hunting quiver? I do.......I use the G5 S.G.H. Nothing better then G5 broadheads.
  14. Re: is he a shooter? I agree with Nick on this one......it's up to you, but I'd pinwheel him.

    Cowboy Hats

Re: Cowboy Hats Yep, I do.
  16. There was once a room for hunting vidoes and it did ok, but was gottne rid of in favor of another room, which made sense then, but with all the hunting on TV now with the Men's Channel, The Outdoor Channel and others is it time to bring that sort of room back. It seems that more and more posts are based on something that happens in shows or are about watching an episode of a show. Just a thought.
  17. Re: tracks can you tell the difference?? I've never been able to.......I judge the size of the deer by the track and then look for scat and other sign to indicate the deer's sex.
  18. Re: Just How Many Of Us Are There?? Doc, you'll probably find that the survey was done in big city areas, and is nowhere near accurate......more twisting of facts.
  19. I've been hunting your great state since 98 with the exception of last season.......How is the mast looking this year? I ask because I have a short time to hunt this year and a few places to set up. I want to optimize my limited time with the right setup, and not waste my time on the acorns if they aren't there. Thanks for your input.
  20. Re: G5 Tekan II anyone? Don't forget that if they did fail to open they are still cutting on all 4 sides......just won't as big a hole. Like I said before......never had one fail, and it takes very little to open one on impact.
  21. Re: G5 Tekan II anyone? Shawn, I shot my doe last year quartered slightly to me, and she only went 30 yards, and left a great blood trail.....as short as it was, lol. As for the premature opening, I've never had that problem, and I've never had one fail to open either. In fact I shot one 40 times into a target and never cleaned it out. Just reclosed it and shot it again. Not one failure. Shoot 'em. You won't be sorry.
  22. Re: Is this an arrowhead? It is one that was started but an error was made on the one side so it was cast off in favor of starting over.
  23. Re: Switchback LD tuning problems Welcome. First thing that catches my eye is that your shooting an arrow that has a minimum poundage recommendation of 75 pounds and you're maxed at 70. Chances are that you're overspined.
  24. Re: trying something new need your input??? I've shot numerous deer with the 100 grain Spitfire. None went more then 60 yards, and all were great passthroughs, with a blood trail the blind could follow.
  25. Re: I finally did it! That's awesome, Ruth. You'll even have plenty of time to get her ready for bowseason.
