  1. Re: My arrow set-up I don't plan on shooting deer out past 30 yards with broadheads. I might try farther with field points.
  2. Trying to decide how many arrows to get. I found a good source online for Beman ICS Hunter 500 arrows - $58 for a dz or $30 for a half dozen - inserts, nocks, and cut to your length included. I currently just have 6 Bemans that have been my practice and hunting arrows for the last 2 years. Should I just get 6 more or get a whole dz, at 25.5" long? I'm going to be shooting my Rintec XL for several years to come...not planning on a new bow anytime soon, lol.
  3. Re: Anybody ever break their wrist?? Glad to hear you got an x-ray. Even bad sprains, if not taken care of, can heal wrong and give you problems. do you have some type of brace for supporting it? It's probably be a good idea to have one.
  4. Re: Andrea changes avatars... Uh oh...I smell trouble coming, lol!
  5. Re: Happy Birthday Turkeygirl Thank you everyone! Been a decent day! Went skiing with some friends at the college, and I got to say high to my fav. professor/athletic trainer who I haven't seen since last spring:-)
  6. Re: Few of my flies (photo) Thanks guys. I can't wait till April 1 trout season starts so I can try some out.:-)
  7. Re: My arrow set-up alright, thanks guys:-) That's what I want to hear, lol. I hear alot of good things about blazers, minus the glue problems, but I'm gonna go with them.
  8. Re: What is something.... No, mom didn't dress us alike...at least I don't think so,lol. Hey buckeygirl, I was in 4-H also. My sister and I showed rabbits, and the last couple years we were in 4-H we did dog obedience also.
  9. Re: Some pics from skiing Nice pics! Looksl ike yo both had alot of fun! I'm going x-country skiing later on today with some friends from college.
  10. So with all this tweaking on my bow and arrows, I'm still waiting for the new strings to come, but I raised the DW from 46 to 49lbs. and checked the tiller, got it as about as even as my eyes could tell. I'm sticking with the Beman ICS 500 Hunter arrows. My current ones are 25.5" from nock grove to end of shaft, with my DL beng 26" so I think that's an alright arrow length. Plan on ordering some bare shafts somewhere. I've got a Grayling Fletching jig on order, have to get some glue, got arrow wraps on order, and decided on Blazer colors.(blue, white, and neon yellow, but blue and white will be colors on arrows, yellow if I want to change or Andy decides he wants Blazers to). I just wanted to ask, before I spend the money on a bunch of Blazers, are the Blazers going to work with my revised set-up? I would hate to buy 6 doz. of them and then have to switch back to 4" vanes again....Give me your input!
  11. Re: ** APPLYING ARROW WRAPS ** I think the skull will either be up at the nock end or down below the vanes. Yeah, I figure I may have to turn the nock to wear I want in, then fletch the vanes on.
  12. Re: What do i really need I too am starting to do my own arrows, it'll be alot easier to replace vanes by myself! I got a Grayling jig off ebay brand new, heard it was like a Bitz just a plastic version. Ebay is a good place to look for stuff, also over on Archery Talk they have a big classified section and you may find what you want there.
  13. Re: Happy Birthday Turkeygirl Cool, I have a b-day cake by my name:-) LOL
  14. Re: Happy Birthday Turkeygirl Thanks everyone! The sun is out and no snow so that makes a nice b-day:-) Wow Vermont, you were up early at 4:57am,lol.
  15. Re: Getting a new bow and i dont know what one???????? Most importantly you want what feels the best to you and you are most comfortable with. Matthews and hoyt are both great bows, but Bowtech also makes some great bows. there's also Parker...Martin....Bear...so many bow companies turning out great bows these days...makes deciding hard, lol. You can find some good deals on ebay but with buying used, and online, you lose your warranty.

  17. Re: Big Bait Tackle box for under $20!! (pics) That's a nifty idea! Way to go!
  18. Re: All ready got the fever again Yup, I can't wait till next archery season! Working in getting new strings for my bow, new arrows, putting Blazers and wraps on...all that fun stuff!
  19. Re: Arrow Wrap Supplier Yup, both him and Battledrum seem to do awesome work! I had trouble deciding who to get them from, but went with Battledrum because I contacted him first and will do Onestringer the second time around. Thinking some custom wraps for Andy for Easter or Father's Day would be cool.
  20. Re: Windows Vista Don't have it..still have windows xp. We have a local provider though aka dial-up aka slow as molasses:-P
  21. Re: ** APPLYING ARROW WRAPS ** Great post! I gotta questions. I'm getting some wraps, custom done, deer skull and hoof prints on them that sprial around. If I want , let's say, the skull to be showing on one side of the arrow, just position my vanes and nock whatever way for it to work?
  22. Re: Need help picking new rest and sight I use a Nap Quicktune 1000 rest. Works really well for me. there are newer quicktunes that you can really do fine adjustments on. I like it, not sure about the other rests though.
  23. Re: What is something.... Her name.....her name...it is...Virginia. Yeah people say we look alike even though I don't think alot.
  24. Re: *****RANDY OITKER AT HIS BEST***** Wow, that is crazy amazing!
  25. Re: What is something.... Ok, here's me and my sister. I'm in the yellow coat: We are not identical, no matter what ya'll say, lol.
