  5. So I got my new bare shaft Bemans in the mail the other day, my Grayling fletching jig came in the mail today, goy my wraps, got the glue. Just waiting on my Blazers to come..Can't wait to show ya all a photo when they are done. Anyone have any good instructions on using the Grayling jig? And how do I adjust the offset and what offset should I do with my Blazers?
  6. Re: TURKEY TEAM #7 Hey guys! Woohoo, looks like we got a good group of people! Good luck Nick...they'd better give ya a tag! I'm hoping to get a turkey for the team this year. Haven't gotten one for 3 years, I think since the contest started. I have not seen any sign of turkeys in the woods around home, but I'm eager to scout and hunt some state land. Only downside is if I get called in to work custodial at the college, that only gives me weekends to hunt and weekends on state land I expect to big one big party, lol. Oh well. So do we want to think of a name for our team?

    Ouch!!!

Re: Ouch!!! i know, my mom said I should have disciplined her, but all I manage was a yell and an attemp to kick her which missed, lol. I was too worried about my leg, if it had a chunk out or not, at least not. And yes, it is a lovely shade of purple and blue.

    Ouch!!!

So I was doing the barn chores this morning, taking care of the horses, rabbits, chickens, etc... I was almost done, putting hay in the barn for the horses. My horse and my sister's horse are standing at a rack eating. I put a few flakes in the rack, turn to walk away and next thing I know I felt the edge of a hoof on my boot but more importantly my sister's horse flings her head around and chomps onto my right thigh! I scream at the horse then run in the house because I didn't know how bad it was. I am lucky I had a ripped up old pair of camo coveralls on...all I got is a read and starting to bruise swollen mark on my leg. Without the coveralls, would have been worse. Of course it's not going to stop me from going for a hike today to look for sheds, but i'm so mad at that horse and my bruise stings and is sore to say the least. Grrr....That mare is a witch..

  10. is how welcoming everyone is to a new person! I don't notice it on any other forums. For instance I joined shedantlers.org. Out of 65 views, 2 replied, one being an RT member already. Maybe they are stuck up shed snobs who don't like girls finding their sheds, I dunno, lol. But just goes to show you RT is tops in so many ways! It's the member that makes RT so great (and Scott to ). (well the camo is great also, lol)
  11. Re: 3 cheers for Tominator Thanks buddy! As always you do a great job! I can't wait till next year, maybe my partner won't forget me and maybe I'll remember to enter the rest of my squirrels, lol. I'll have to do all my squirrel hunting before deer starts.
  12. Re: It\'s gonna be a blood bath I'd like to shoot a hog some day...here they are really good tasting. Have fun!
  13. Re: Not again Too bad...At least you found him, unique.
  14. Re: Your knives? COOL!!!:-)
  15. Re: Realtree AP Yeah, I bet you're right..Near end of summer they'll probably bring out all the gear:-)
  16. Re: And The Winners Are.............. Darn it! I forgot to enter my 3 more squirrels but oh well....I would still have fallen short...and yet my partner was another one who didn't show-up. Congrats to the winners, ya got some nice squirrels! Now the 6 month long wait begins,lol/
  17. Re: i am sooo mad right now! I'd suggest that if your RA does nothing about it, then go to the next highest up. At my college the RD is in charge of the RA's then Student Life is in charge over the RD and RA hiring. Call campus security or police if this keeps going on. Sounds like the RA doesn't care.
  18. Re: Realtree AP I've seen the APG in Walmart and the Cabela's cataloge but, like you, would like to see the AP out. I need a new pair of insulated coveralls and would like to get them in AP.
  19. Re: What bow should I get I have a Hoyt Rintec XL and love it. A little bit more upgraded than the regular Rintec. Anyway check out Bowtech...been hearing alot of good things about the Equalizer. Check out Parker bows also...
  20. Re: When fletching arrows... Thanks guys! I think there is an old dull blade lying around somewhere. I got my new bare shaft Bemans yesterday. Still waiting on the Blazers and fletching jig. so with the new Bemans, should I clean off where the blazers will go with rubbing alcohol just so they are extra clean and to have the wraps stick well?

    hey whats up

Re: hey whats up Nope, but a neighbor down the road used to have or maybe he still does, some coon hounds. Actually my sister's chow mix dog almosts barks like a coon hound when it sees rabbits. Welcome to Realtree by the way!
  23. Hey ladies, What knives do you own for hunting and outdoor related tasks? I have an older Buck Lite my mom got at a garage sale for $1 which I used alot until I got a Buck Whittaker Approach which I've used for hunting and also outdoor activities like camping/backpacking, etc... the blade broke on my Buck Whittaker, due to my sister, lol, so I'm in the search for a new Buck knife. I think the Buck Bantam series looks like what I want, small, good grip, and can do small game or deer. The Buck Alpha Series looks really nice to, just a little expensive. Oh yeah, and I have a Gerber Fillet knife that my outdoor rec. professor gave me when I graduated from college last May So what knives do you ladies have? Ladies with knives are cool, lol
  24. Re: How old were you when you killed your first deer?? I think I was 19, got a doe with a 20 ga. sitting in a ground blind at the edge of a cattail swamp. Doe came running through and stopped after being chased by the neighbors doing drives and shooting up a storm. Ha ha ha, I was in the right place:-)
  25. Re: My.....internet.....is....soooooo..... Join the club?
