Ordered a bunch of muzzeloader stuff Monday, shipped Tuesday, arrived Wednesday! Well I ordered a .50 cal accessory kit for the ramrod, a .45 cal was sent. I emailed customer service, they immediately said they'd send out a .50 cal kit then I got the shipping confirmation. I emailed back to ask hwo to return the .45cal and they said don't bother, they figured with it's cost, not worth the cost to ship it back. So maybe what I'll do is offer it up as a prize or something. Thank you Cabelas!

Should I clean after every shot or every couple shots?

Last week shot a 99 which put me into 2nd place. This week shot a 93....blew the first shot and scored a 5 but made up some points with a few 11s. Will miss next 3 weeks due to new job but the 29th is the big shoot worth double points and I'll be at that:)

Talked to our vet and will probably have to put my horse down before winter....unless he dies before then....It wouldn't be fair to let him go through winter when he can't keep weight on.

Well I'm thinking tomorrow there may be some shooting going on;) Got a box from Cabelas today, decided to go with Shockwave 250 grain, Triple 7 50 grain pellets, got some cleaning stuff today but they sent me the .45 cal instead of .50 cal cleaning accessories so have to make a return. All I've read online are good reviews about this muzzleloader. So part of me hopes I have a tag left for muzzeloader season, lol!

Been forgetting to mention this, got the summer issue of Big buck Magazine a while back and it featured a story of none other than our Tim Andrus and his nice thick chocolate horned buck! Very good read and congrats on a great buck Tim! Did you get it mounted? Any other pics?

In more ways than one! Remnants of Isaac came through, it downpoured very hard, which caused the first flooded basement I've seen. We had water come through the root cellar out under the computer table, also over by our freezers, then on the other side of the basement by the laundry room....Took us a good time to get the water vacuumed up, then Andy found the drain by my sister's dog grooming set-up was completely plugged which I guess contributed to the random leaking, so he got a ton of dog hair out and still hasn't gotten it unplugged. No damage though to anything major. THEN I go out to check the barn and my old horse is laying in the pasture in the rain, I call him, he comes up. I open a stall and he goes in and lays down, which is unusual for him. My mom and sister come out. He's old and it shows, so I'm thinking he's dying. He lays out flat a couple times and his legs shake a bit, my sister said he had a couple seizures. This lasted probably 10-15minutes, then he gets up and starts eating. This morning he's out and about, eating in the pasture right now, vet going to stop later but I suspect for my horse it's a matter of time, he can't keep weight on after last night, who knows what next. Praise God though nothing really serious happened.

Been reading goodreviews on the Shockwaves in the Omega...wondering if I should go 200 grain or 250 grain? What's going to be the difference between the grain size in bullets and performace? I'm not expecting to hunt anything over 100 yards unelss I put scope on...just going open sights this year.If anything I'd expect most shots under 100.

Eeeehhh....beginning of the season I might hold off...

Would like input on what would be good sabots for the TC Omega Z5 and pellets (vs. powder)? The guy I got the TC from gave me some powder in a flask and also Hornady Great Plains bullets, Remington and Triple 7 primers, and sabots/slugs he cast himself (they look like the TC Maxi-Balls). I think I want to go along the lines of pellets like the Pyrodex or whatever and pre-made sabots, just wondering what's a good bet to go with? Also cleaning supplies?

It's actually a TC Omega Z5....handled it today...looks like in great shape, he only took it out maybe once to hunt with....has accessories with it...offering it to me for $230...

Where I'm working, a co-worker told me he is going to sell his TC Encore...wondering what you would say is a fair price? It's barely been used I think he said it got it in 2008. He's going to bring it in so I can take a look at it.

It's officially!! Drove the hour + minutes up to the car dealer...have to drive back tonight to pick it up...it's a 2009 Kia Sportage....I wil ltry to have pics...have to work today then go up there tonight...got home late last night, so tired,lol.

I don't use a rangefinder....mark out 20 and 30 rangers with orange flagging...seems to work well...

Anyone here drive a Kia Sorento or Kia Sportage? Those are 2 cars I've driven so far and have liked...The sportage is a 2009 with 61,000 miles in it for like $13,900. The sorento which I drove today is a 2008 with 34,000 miles for like $14,800....I like the sportage just a little more but the sorento seems like a good deal. Was looking for some opinions and wondering if anyone here has any experience with them?

This week scored 92....down from the week before but I'm happy if I stay in the 90s...would like to try and get a 100 (all 10s)...
