  1. Be sure to also check out the LeafRiver IR camera. I've had one for about 2 ro 3 years now and it does a great job. So easy to use and battery life is amazing.
  2. same place us O-staters are---still in bed sick!!!!
  3. i also like the seat o pants. I've never had to test it and hopefully never will.
  4. Hey Stranger---your Huskers won today--congrats. todd
  5. yep--that was a classy act by both guys.
  6. good luck Shaun--hope you put your tag on a monster.
  7. For the 3rd week in a row the Big 12 will be taking center stage on the ABC evening college football. The Big 12 is putting up some big numbers. Hopefully this time my Cowboys can upset the #2 team in the country and walk away with a big road win. GO POKES!
  8. i couldn't even guess but i'd love to shoot him!
  9. wow---that will spoil a first time hunter for sure!!!! congrats!
  10. Mornings--you need to be set up on major trails that are leading back to bedding areas. Evening---staging areas--areas where the deer go just prior to feeding in the early evening. Like stated though the best time to get those big bucks out of their night time routine is during the rut when they arean't thinking with their brain. The drive to reproduce overrides common sense. The weather here in Oklahoma has been so hot you are not the only one not seeing deer during shooting light.
  11. awesome buck! congrats!
  12. yes---soil samples would be my first step and then get the needed lime applied as soon as you can. If you can get the lime disced in this winter that would be great. Next spring I would redisc the field as soon as green up starts. This will kill the newly germinated weeds. I would then plant a forage variety of roundup ready soybeans. This will provide two needs. First the soybeans will be great warm season forage and protein. It will also allow you to spray the fields with glyphosate (roundup) during the growing season which will kill any new weeds and grasses. Then next fall you can disc under the soybeans and either plant some annual cool season plants or start a good perennial. let me know if you have questions. todd
  13. great buck elnor--congrats. My muzzleloader season was very uneventful. Only saw two bucks. A 1.5 six pt and a 2.5 eight point that with very short tine length. Very little movement with afternoon temps in the 80's. We need some cold weather.
  14. I posted this response in the "proud to be an american" thread but wanted to get it on this one also: very good point. I am trying my best as a father to relay that exact message to my two young daughters. I picked up my daughters from school yesterday and took them to them with me to vote. I actually let them fill in the ballots so they could feel that they were part of the voting process. After we voted I talked with them about how lucky we are that we have the right to vote and how many American have died so that we may have the freedom to elect our leaders. When we got home in the evening the girls were stuck to the TV watching the outcome. My oldest daughter who is 8 finally went to bed and asked me to wake her to tell her who was going to be the next president. She was disappointed on the outcome but I was proud of her for being so interested in the future of our country. I thought McCain's speech last night was awesome. Yes I am a little nervous however I was also very nervous when Bill Clinton was elected and my life didn't really change much except for a few more tax dollars. I don't own an assault rifle and probably never will but do feel that is a right for every honest american to own. Whether Obama is tied or still involved with possible terrorists--I don't know. I can only pray not but I will also continue to pray that the leaders of this country continue to make this the greatest country on earth and I am still very proud to be an American and would never want to live anywhere else. I feel priviledged to live in a country where I can worship the God of Abraham and not feel in danger. I am proud that I can live in a country where I can send my kids to a school (it is private) where they pray every day and worship God in school. Along with me and other conservatives this can be a nervous time but I would NEVER want to live anywhere else--and if the country does get into trouble with Obama you can never blame the GREAT STATE of OKLAHOMA as around 65% voted for McCain:) God Bless the USA! Chris needs more stuff to do so keep up the good work guys:D:D Just kiddin'--remember this is still a family oriented forum and lots of kids will be reading this!

  16. going to be an interesting 4 years. Obama currently has 220 e-votes and with California not reporting yet which we know he will win that puts him over the top. All we can do is pray for 4 years---which will probably be 8!
  17. What a loss of a great kid. I've watched (here on the forums) this kid grow up to a young man. I will miss him as I know everyone on here will miss him. I'm in shock right now.
  18. $1.89 for 10% ethenol---about a dime more for the pure stuff (Oklahoma City)
  19. I also want to thank everyone involved. No doubt you guys/gals are the best. With your help we were able to raise close to $4500 for Mike. I know his family will make good use for this money and I hope that it gives him a little breathing room as he continues to improve. thanks again. todd
  20. I guess we will have a new #1 team this week but wow--was that a game. Definitely will go down as a classic. That last touchdown catch was incredible. Texas Tech looked awesome and now we (OSU) get to visit them next weekend.
  21. I went duck hunting yesterday and used my Stoeger O/U but usually I hunt with my MB 935.
  22. i also don't use one--I try to drive the speed limit and fortunately I have never had a speeding ticket in in 22 years of driving.
  23. 1.99 here in OKC for 10% ethenol. An extra 10 to 20 cents for the pure stuff.
