  1. lol--no it doesn't--but that doesn't sound bad for a name Oklahoma Tomatoes:D
  2. beautiful child--life takes a completely new meaning after children--at least until they turn into teenagers and know more that we do:)
  3. I also wish this was just an April fools joke:(
  4. stealing the team from Seattle. Seattle had many opportunities to keep the team and obviously did not want to dish out the bucks to keep them. It's just a matter of time before they relocate here. There is a big support on the local sports radio station for the Oklahoma Tribe. Personally I think it should be Oklahoma City since we are the ones that will be booting most of the tax for the arena upgrade and the practice facility. I also like the Twisters but there was a minor league team with that name so they might not want to use that name again.
  5. i've always drove like a grandpa so it hasn't changed my driving. I drive a whopping 1 mile to work everyday but I do find myself not going to my farm as often due to the prices of gas. I'm also fishing closer to home--pulling a boat really sucks that gas.

I've been members of other forums where I didn't feel like it was a fit for me so I left. Good luck with your decision. todd
  7. lol--welcome to the "forum" Dan:)
  8. IMO Buckee and Realtree Forums go together like peanut butter and jelly. When I first joined in '02 he was one of the first to welcome me here and I felt like he was a best friend even though I've never met him. He's been an integral part of the success of this forum. Of course I would want him to return as moderator but as other have stated I respect his decision and want him to do what he feels is best for him. todd

  10. all I know is I wouldn't want to play them---they are on a hot streak! Hopefully the Big 12 Jayhawks will bring them back down to earth.
  11. I am assuming this will be a hunting spot so you want something that will stay green and be attractive for hunting season. The deer have the soybean forage for the warm season so I would concetrate now on killing off the vegetation for a late summer/early fall planting. If it was me I'd plant a mixture of oats/ryegrain/wheat/and brassica. The oats will be a great early season draw and the brassicas a great late season draw--the oats and rye will attract during the entire hunting season. You should be able to plant a nice plot with 3 acres. 25# of oats 25# of wheat 25# rye 5# of brassica all per acre. good luck todd
  12. nothing brightens my day more than a big hug and a "I love you DaDa" from my two little girls!

    Got my letter

    congrats and best of luck!!!
  14. All my brassicas were eaten to the ground by the deer--not one full plant left and now they are actually eating the turnips. However--I've had best luck with planting a mixture of oats and wheat in small hunting plots. The oats will be a great draw early in the season then die out after your first hard freeze then the deer will key in on the wheat. There is a trick though to make them HIGHLY attractive. When planting I broadcast 200# of triple 13 per acre and then lightly disc the seed and the fertilizer in the soil. I then come back 3 weeks later and broadcast 50# of 34-0-0 on top of the wheat/oats. This last high dose of fertilizer really sweetens up the plot. The deer can tell the difference. The oats/wheat will work a lot better in smaller plots than brassicas!!!!
  15. I always plant a nice mix of cereal grains late summer for fall/winter attractiveness. Being high in carbs they are also a great nutrition source during the cold and rutting season. Overseeding into an existing warm season plot can have success but not near as much if you broadcast into a clean seedbed. The larger seeds of the cereal grains will germinate but still need to make contact with the soil in order to germinate. Even if you just lightly disced over the existing warm season plot and then broadcast you will have much more success.
  16. chilly morning here in Oklahoma but will be warming up quickly. great pics! Wish I had your son's hair:)
