  2. Nice halloween game cam pic.... and look what the spider caught:eek: :D:D
  3. Does anyone have any BP trajectory tables/charts. I am shooting 100gr (two 50) pyrodex pellets with a 240 grain TC Mag Sabot XTP bullet (.50 cal). I have it shooting right at an inch high at 50 yards. I am just wondering where the bullet would be at 100 and 150???? thanks todd
  4. Shawn--I know it's hard to wait but I would sure encourage you to wait to breed him. You want to know 100% that both his eyes and hips will certify. There is no need to possibly pass on hip dysplasia or eye dysplasia to offspring. If your dead set anyway you can still have a preliminary hip x-ray taken and have it sent to OFA--they will give you a preliminary reading. You can get the eyes cerfed anytime--they don't have to be 2 years of age. As far as what he'll throw--just remember 50% of the genes come from the mother--he might be a heck of a hunting dog but if the mother doesn't have the same drive or similiar characteristics all the pups could be worthless as hunting dogs. good luck todd
  5. congrats to mommy and tank!

welcome---you are in some beautiful country!
  7. very nice! That's some good camo right there.
  8. I always add extra decoy string. I then use a "Decoy Depth Adjuster" below the weight. That way I can adjust the depth of the my weight for the depth of water I am hunting. The way I do it is tie the cord to the decoy then slide the weght onto the string/cord. Then I put the adjuster clamp on and tie and slip not on the end of the string. The weight is put on like a Texas rig worm weight--so the weight can slide up and down the cord. Then you just move the adjust up so that there is an extra foot or two of cord. So if the water is 2 feet deep I like to have my line about 3 feet so I get good movement on the water (as long as there is wind). I usually put about 4 to 5 feet of line on my decoys. Here is what the depth adjusters look like. You can buy them at any sporting goods store that sells waterfowl decoys. I got mine at wal-mart: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20712-cat20829&id=0029292224270a&navCount=4&podId=0029292&parentId=cat20829&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=XH&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20829&hasJS=true
  9. wow--didn't know that! Teachers are so smart:D
  10. Went out Wed AM with no luck. A front was moving through with very high winds. The cottonwood I was in was swaying back and forth. No movement at all--even from the girls. I checked my cams and do have some nice bucks working the area:

  17. I haven't had a shooter buck pic in months--finally a few are showing up: Got a little messed up rack on the right side: Little exercise: These are with the IR: Hope they all stick around--can you imagine having all these boys under your stand at one time:eek: todd
  18. I think it would depend on what your bestman's hobbies are. If he is a big golfer a nice pair of golfing gloves or even a gift certificate to his favorite golf store. If he hunts or fishes a gift certificate to Cabelas or BPS would work.
  19. the annual plot looks great. should be a great draw after your first freeze. you are right--the perennial is struggling a little. hopefully it's just getting a slow start.
  20. man--thats a sweet lookin' spot. I'm guessing those are soybeanman's? I can't believe they have held up so well to the pressure. good luck this season todd
