  1. I'm going to try my best to video most of the trip this year so hopefully i'll bring that back for posting. I'll for sure have pics. . . usually pretty good with that. You'll be hard pressed to find outfitters though. . . . nothing against it but we wont be rollin' with any outfitters just good ole fashion DYI turkey hunting.
  2. For sure Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wyoming. If things go well maybe get Nebraska in there too. So i guess to answer the question 5 and maybe 6.
  3. Starting off in northeast, may also swing back through western side on the way back from SD.
  4. How do yall that display entire capes put yours on the wall. I've got them down pat until it comes time to hanging them on the wall. The one i have on the wall i used pins and just put them through the cape in several spots and into the drywall, it has done fine for awhile but now i've noticed the fan has become jagged like some of the tailfeathers are being pulled in while others are layin' out. Anyone got any better recommendations, gotta get some of these things outta the floor and on the wall.
  5. Covehnter Adult Easterns, Osceolas, Rios, and Merriams
  6. Like i needed something else to feed the fever but i saw several strutters this morning following around a harem on the way to work. I'll try to remember the camera tomorrow so i can help yall out too. South Florida opens March 1st.
  7. I'll be in yall's neighborhood again this year. . . . april 25th i believe.
  8. Oh the suspense, this has grown to be something i look forward to every year!
  9. Nice strap, those miserable birds cost me lots of sleep in years past. . . . its been all about crimson heads for us since!! Glad yall could get on them!
  10. But now we got turkey to look forward too!!
  11. Take a chance at misplacing a shot to the body a couple inches and let your bird die far away never to be found. Misplace a shot at the head and the bird lives to gobble and be chased another day. Its a no brainer to me after havin' it happen . . . . . a longbeard is too precious in my book.

    swap hunts?

I'll have to check the calender when the time gets a little closer and see how the plans i've already made are going to pan out. If i can swing it you're more than welcome to come to Georgia for a hard gobblin' Eastern. We usually manage to bump into a few each year.
  13. You bet ya. . . . . only pic of the setup i got and it's been modified since then . . . . . Since hunt101 has changed yet again i cant get my pics linked in the right size, irritating!! But i'll solve that and use realtree's photo post from now on. . . .
  14. Been too busy chasin' pine goats!! Another gorgeous box Tracy!!
  15. Pattern birds, invest in a roomy ground blind, and would really consider gobbler guillotines. . . . . loosing a bird do to a misplaced shot is too large a price to pay. Good Luck, its quite a challenge.
  16. Man, i've hunted hard in Alabama and still havent found a duck. You guys must have it together! Congrats on the birds!! And i hope that black is headed for the wall!! Beautiful bird!
  17. Way to go!! Congrats on the birds and tell Alisha to take it easy on ya!! I'm gonna make it for eiders eventually. . . . . .
  18. Lucky Dog!! Good luck to you and Brain, shoot'em up!! Report in on your return. . . . . you're not missing much in AL.
  19. Huntn4 told you what you need to know. . . . . qouta draws take at least 2 years and the majority take 3 years. But put your mind to it, do your homework and you'll have success and leave the other thousands of bozo's frownin' when you head back to OK with turkey breasts. Public can be productive.
  20. Man you guys up north are killin' me!! Great pic!! Yall get redheads and bills first? what else are ya waiting on, cans? On another note: and definately not tryin' to sound like a jerk but if the shootings that good then try and get the boy bills, cause their numbers arent looking real good. I'd like to see that limit move back to 3. But dont take this the wrong way, in the pre-dawn its tough to tell. . . alot factors in to shootin' those blazin' feather balls, way to go and congrats. Keep the pics coming, its still over a month before i get to chase waterfowl again and probably a touch longer til i see the bills!
  21. Dang they leave a bunch of corn up there!! Ya blendin' in nice too.
  22. Only 24? thats moving pretty well with a mud motor. . . . they're not built for speed. Our gator trax 1850 w/ hunt deck boosting it to 19'8" long with the 35 hyper sport level 1 (which is crap and has now been removed, with exception of the muffler) and big blade prop keeps us at 26 empty + 2 guys.
