  4. Got the okay on another small tract today that i've been watchin' birds on for the past month, a big boy has just now joined his girlfriends. Will be listening every morning on the public land this week. . . we open Saturday, okie boys show Thursday!!
  5. Hey, I like paintbrush beards and icepick spurs just as much as the next guy but if he's gotta full roll gobble and likes to dance. . . . . i'll take'em every day of spring!! I do love a 2 year old turkey!!
  6. Heres another cool pic of me peering through some typical South Florida terrain, a beautiful cypress head.
  7. Only able to make it to South Florida for a weekend this year and my buddy was up to bat first for his first Osceola longbeard. Made it happen on Saturday about noon.
  8. Yeah, we were finally able to get him connected w/ a mature black wing. He was stoked!!
  9. One bird down. . . . but not to my gun. Watched an Osceola crumble to the roar of my buddies gun Saturday about noon. He had never killed an Osceola longbeard so he was up to bat first. It was nice to get it all started!! Shane, you boys are in for a treat. I'm watchin' and listenin' now. . . . man it's gonna be fun!!! They're talkin' and showin' off for the ladies.
  10. Tie a couple up and get'em fat!!
  11. I'll send a pm to Strut. . . seems like Classy Cutters is gonna get the majority. Who's ready to go turkey hunting? anyone else already after them? going to hit South FL again this w/e and fight the crowds. . . . . we'll see how that pans.
  12. So thats 4 for Classy Cutters. . . . . anyone else got any suggestions?
  13. I'm here, lets roll!! Team Name Suggestions: Spur Smokers Lead Poison Inc. Team Soft Talk Springtime Professionals Classy Cutters
  14. I saw one of his decoys at Nationals yesterday, definately a great decoy. . . .but in my opinion nothing beats real feathers.
  15. Lots of times they travel in large flocks, be between where they want to be and the roost and i'd suggest using that B-mobile yall were talkin' about. Remember Rio jakes are alot more aggressive than Eastern jakes, so if you're after a mature bird look close.
  16. Spend a lil money on some sights that are truly adjustable to get that pattern dead center then you should be able to get at least a decent pattern with what you've got, i think you'll be surprised.
  17. Duh, i know the problem. . . . . . your shooting it backwards. Switch over to the other shoulder, that should fix it. LoL jk There are sights similar to those you have on the gun with alot more adjustment which would allow you to get it hitting dead center. I wouldnt go to the woods with a gun that i was gonna have to remember to aim low with b/c it's easy to remember now. . . with a longbeard breathing down your neck it may not be so easy. One less thing to worry about
  18. Let him keep tryin' that. . . . i'm gonna let the ole boy walk outta sight and try something a lil different.
  19. Sounds like a fun filled weekend to me!! Good Luck!!
  20. And a BIG want list. . . .
  21. I've tried several different things, the adjustable fiber optics are the best in my opinion. Just remember when setting the point of impact shoot light loads to save on the shoulder and at about 6 ot 7 yards. The plug you'll take outta the paper will let you know which way to move the sight.
  22. Just log in each turkey i kill. . . . date, size, location. . . . need to start a more detail book to see if i can see threads from year to year.
  23. If you're really determined you can get by on a college budget and whack many outta state longbeards. I've done it for the past 4 years. You arent but a skip from good Merriam country, man i'd be ALL over that!! Cheap otc tags too. Should be very makable!
