Re: 7mm reloading Well I think I picked a winner. Today I purchased some Hornady 154gr. Interbonds. I talked with a guy I know that shoots a STW. He has had his best luck with Hornady. So that is going to be my starting point.

Re: 7mm reloading The two I have been looking at are the Barnes 150gr. X-Bullet BT and the Sierra 160gr GameKing HP BT. I like the advantages of the BT when it comes to long range shoots. Even though I know 90% of animals are shot at under 200 yards, I have the ability to shoot out to 500 yards.

Re: 30-30 I own and do hunt with a Marlin .30-30. I love my gun. Have not taken a deer with it, only had it for one season so far. But I love just shooting it. A friend of mine hunts with a Marlin .35. He has taken many deer with that gun. Good shooting and light.

I have recently purchased a 7mm STW. I will be reloading this gun. I am looking to see who reloads a 7mm for hunting. I would like to know: what bullet do you shoot and kinda why. I will be making up a few different bullets and different powder loads. Just looking for a good starting point with bullets. Thanks alot.

Re: want a new pistol... help I have just purchased a Kimber Tactical Pro II. So far I have put about 200 rounds through it. I am in love. I have only had 2 Fail to Feeds, bullet lined up but slide did not close all the way. Broke the gun down for a quick clean and away I went. I shot 14 rounds at 25 yards putting all in center mass of the FBI silhoutte target. Not too bad for right out of the box. Next time I go to the range I will take some pics to post.

Re: Bought a new rifle today The 597 is a great little gun. I bought my dad one in the .22 Mag topped with a Nikon ProStaff 3-9x. I also installed a target hammer to improve the feeling of the trigger ( http://www.midwayusa.com/rewriteaproduct/410565 ). For the .17 HMR I like the BSA Sweet 17 3-12 x 40. You just sight it in at 100 yards and it has the markings for auto adjust out to 300 yards. It works great. Congrats on the new gun.

I have shot the Taurus .357. It is a smooth shooting gun, for the money. I am actually looking at getting the .357 for my dad. The trigger may not be as smooth as a Smith & Wesson, but that is why they have gunsmiths that know how to do trigger work.

Re: How many of you reload? I am just getting into reloading. I have been doing some looking reading about different powders and loads. I am just waiting for the weather to break so I can get to the range. I will be reloading for my .270, hunting rifle, and what ever gun I end up building for my benchrest/varmint gun, I believe a .243 or maybe a 6mm Rem.

Who has one? What brand do you shoot? What ammo? And the final question, how do you like it?

Re: My favorite duck/geese hunting gear is my..... I would have to say either my Cabela's duck jacket or my Remington 11-87. It is a tough one.

Re: What are your views on the 6mm? The gun is going to be used as a varmint/target/open field deer rifle, but it will not really be seeing all that much action as a deer rifle. The target/varmint portion of it will be out to 500yards, but hopefully I can find a longer field or range.

What are your views on the 6mm? I am looking into scrapping my .243 build and do up a 6mm. I have looked at ballistic stuff on varies factory webistes so I know a bit of the difference there, but I will be handloading. Just wondering what everyones .02 cents on these two rounds.
