Re: Traditional? I just sold all my compound equipment. I bought a longbow in March. I am more excited for this season to start than any other. I am getting buck fever just thinking about drawing on that first deer of this season.

Re: Another One Bites the SB Challenge!!! I shot an Outback for 2 seasons. And I put it down to go back to basics. I had a longbow custom built. But the Outback is still in the family, my dad shoots it now.

I am looking at using a ground blind this year. I have been looking at the Ameristep Doghouse. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this one or something similiar. Thanks in advance.

The Eqwader Mock sweatshirt. I like the warm of it and that I can wear it on the cool mornings without having to get out the heavier jackets. I have even worn it on real cold deerhunting days as an additional layer.

Re: Hunting Boots I had a pair of Rocky Bear Claws for 3 years prior to my Caribou hunt. I spent a week in those boots. I walked through everything. The outsides of the boots did not dry out till I got home. But, my feet never got wet. The feet were warm and dry for the whole week. I have also hunted in Maine when it was 6* for the daily high, and the feet were nice and toasty all day.

Re: cabelas waterfowl jacket I have this jacket. It is a very warm jacket. I have sat many a cold miserable day in it. The only problem is, if you get caught in a downpour you will get wet. The rain runs down the jacket and into your waders. For days like that I have another Cabela's Dry-Plus Parka (just the shell) that I put on over top of everything.

What broadheads do you use? When shooting a compound I used Thunderheads for ever, killed many animals with them. Just wondering if there is any benfit to shooting 2-bladed or 2-bladed with bleeder versus shooting my standard 3 blades.

Re: The Lever Revolution I am looking forward to hitting the range with the .30-30 ammo. I shoot a Marlin 336C topped with a Burris Scout 2.75x. I should be at the range with it in about a month. I will post picks of the results when I finally shoot it.

September 9th our archery season starts. I can not wait to get out in the stand. I am looking forward to harvesting my first deer with the longbow.

Re: Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in caliber 7mm-08 I shoot a few different Remington 700's. I find that Remington Core-Lokts shoot the best out of all my rifles, with the exception of my handloads. I am looking forward to building a 7mm-08 next spring. It is a great little caliber.

Re: Blazer Vanes I shot them out of my Outback with a whisker biscuit. I loved the way that they shot. Now my dad is shooting my Outback, even he is impressed by the way they shoot. And he prefers "Old School" stuff.
