  1. Yeah Brett it looks like a straight mulie to me also.
  2. I've never seen anything like that exit hole on that elk-WOW-are you sure he used enough gun lol. Great job-nice to see a family hunting together.
  3. Awww muffin lol. The Argos might win some day lol.
  4. What do you call 45 guys watching the Grey Cup? The BC Lions. The Riders should pummel them but I'm going to be coaching hockey while the game is on-sucks to be me lol.
  5. He's as shy as his Daddy youknow that. We'll stop in with him on way up to Sandy's.
  6. Last but not least here is Sar with her own buck-he scored just under 190-real old character kind of mulie-only outscored her Dad's first one by about a 100 inches.
  7. Here's Sara and her big brother-superguide jr-with his big double droptine mulie. i had a couple excited kids there.
  8. Took my middle daughter Sara hunting mulies for her first time last week-here she is pointing out Shane's shot off main beamlol. We did find it the next day. Ty's friend RaeLee went on her first hunt ever and did a great job videotaping-the sound bytes are priceless.
  9. I see DJ went with Booguard how did that go for him.
  10. I guees our local boy D.J King spanked Parros pretty badly too.
  11. Powerbelts have worked well for Ty in his Omega
  12. I've shot a few moose with my .270-they all ended up very dead.
  13. That moose was right by that fallen poplar when we saw him. What a beautiful morning to be hunting.
  14. Ty,Emily and I went out for moose this A.M-we went to edge of a big cutblock-sound familiar Sureshot lol. The wind was straight from the east and we glassed a moose about a half mile off. Emily and I stayed put and Ty made a stalk. He had it at 100 yards with a good rest but was holding off to be certain it was a bull. Some quads started up and pushed the moose off the ridge and he saw a spike horn-by the time he ran up to the ridge he was 250 yards off trotting and Ty missed him. I'm glad he did the right thing and waited to be sure he was legal. His little sister was ready to start quartering and packing.
  15. The worst tip I got other than nothing lol. Was $5-this guy was put in a stand with a about a 160 5x5 coming into it-he shot about a 90 inch 4x4 instead-made a bad shot and I ended up having about a half mile drag through a jungle to get it out. To be honest he should of just kept his $5 I even had some good ideas where he could put it.

    Wolves

There's lots of wolves here but there are thousands of deer and tons of moose-I'd be way more scared of a pitbull than a timber wolf.
  17. Light sparring type of rattling sure could work now.
  18. I see DJ almost got a Gordie Howe hattrick the other night. I've got his cousin on my Midget team he's a big strong power forward too-loves to drive the net.
  19. Bigmoss took a pretty cool video of me rolling a running coyote with my triple deuce last week when he was out here deer hunting. I'd really like to find a .308 or 7mm/08 next.
  20. Were Remington model 788's made in-I just picked up a 6mm to go with my .222 and Sara's .243. Love those accurate ugly little guns lol.
  21. Had a lot of excitement yesterday-Ty and I were stillhunting along trying to get ahead of a big 4x4-he jumped the fence right in front of us but I passed him up.While we were glassing we spotted a 5x4 feeding to us-I originally thought he was a 5x5 he had such good browtines. It took him a half hour but he fed to within 10 yards of me-Ty and I are guessing him at 165-he has webbed beams that are 6 inches right to the end-at least 22 inch main beams and about a 21 inch spread. He looked huge through the scope and was very hard to pass up-I might regret it later but at least I'm still hunting. Ty almost shot this buck in velvet he says he was really awesome looking then.
  22. That round has probably kiled more game in Saskatchewan than all others combined.
  23. I passed a couple 150 class bucks today-had a big 4x4 at 30 yards broadside then caught a real good young 5x5 trying to sneak around behind me. I'm pretty sure there's something quite a bit better out there if I just keep looking.
