    The unthinkable

I wish you both the best!
  3. Likely the Adobe Flashplayer on the computer you are using is out of date. I started a thread with some pictures embedded just for you
  4. For those of you allergic to clicking Album links. Great trip! My biggest silver salmon. My wife's biggest silver salmon. My biggest halibut. What I took home. One of the ever present eagles watching over us.
  5. You don't need facebook to look at the video. Just click the link. That goes for the Album link I posted earlier as well. No facebook account required.
  6. No worries, he and his doctors are monitoring closely. He's back at his house and doing fine.
  7. It is QUITE the view! Click the "HD" function and watch it fullscreen if you have a high speed connection. https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=10201593630789541
  8. This is a short whale video I got of the whales actually breaching. Got more video of tail and fin slapping. Thought you guys might like to at least see this one. Whales Breaching
  9. It was certainly a group effort of making sure Steve got the help he needed. Connie sat Steve down and made sure he didn't try to move around while the stroke was happening. This was a monumental task for her because Steve had no idea nor was he capable of understanding what was going on at the time. She did spectacularly. My wife jumped out of the boat with the tie down rope when we got to the dock. This is something she had never done before. This is not so easy with a boat that weighs over two tons. This gave me the opportunity to tie it down while she ran to get EMT's. Then we had assistance for the ride back to Coffman Cove via boat with an EMT and Steve's friend Jerry drove Steve and Connie to Klawock Clinic an hour away. From there they ultimately were flown to the hospital in Ketchikan. The people of Coffman Cove all pulled together and were very helpful to my wife and I while we stayed at Steve's by ourselves. I can honestly say that small town of Coffman Cove has the nicest people on the planet.
  10. My wife and I were up there for a visit with Steve and Connie. We were salmon fishing in his boat when he had the stroke. I piloted his boat to the nearest dock so we could get medical help. Good thing I can still operate a big boat and read a depth finder. He is absolutely fine now but it gave everyone one heck of a scare when it happened.
  11. Some many pictures. So much to tell. Great times. Scary times. All is well now. Instead trying to attach all the photos to a thread. I'm providing a link to my Facebook Album. Read the comments next to the photos and enjoy. And check back in. I'll be adding more later. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10201557353122622.1073741829.1441240563&type=1&l=a0bcc6d4bd
  12. This is me and Steve on July 2nd after his stroke on June 28th. He suffered no permanent damage and is back to his old self. It really is a miracle to be thankful for.
  13. Finally home. Steve's absolutely fine but he did give us a big scare.
  14. Going to pick up Steve at the airport at 6:30pm tonight. It's been a very emotional past couple of days. Keep praying for him folks.

  16. Kids press buttons without fear.
  17. Thanks Mike. We will both always remember it.
  18. It was super windy almost impossible to cast but we still managed three slot red fish and two legal seatrout. These plus shrimp and grits will make an awesome meal tonight.
  19. Have a safe trip up there my friend. Looking forward to your first post when you make the island.

    Heres the Deal

You got one heck of a deal! $350 knife for $250! She'll understand that!
  21. Not necessarily. Paper tuning gets your nock height and rest centering close to the ideal position but it is just the starting point. To really fine tune your set up you need to do a "walk back" tune and "broadhead" tune last. It's not unusual to find you need to do a little more nock position adjustment during a "walk back" tune after the bow has been paper tuned.
  22. Wow! This weekend is gonna be crazy. Candice Glover made the final three and gets the hometown visit. There will be a parade and concert at the Waterfront park here in Beaufort Saturday. They expect 20,000 folks to show up downtown. It will be insane!
  23. Exactly. That spray on Dr. Scholl's powder works the best for me. I always use it to identify problems before I get into tuning. The other thing you should do before you start tuning is check tiller, make sure the cams are tuned right, axle to axle length and brace height are to spec.
  24. In my experience it absolutely is possible to shoot a bullet hole through paper with a very slight fletching interference. So if you still have that corkscrew effect try the foot powder test I suggested earlier. What kind of arrow rest you using?
  25. Corkscrew flight is usually due to a misaligned head OR fletching interference on the bow. It sounds like you've eliminated the spin issue on the head. Try spraying the back six inches of your arrow with foot powder and then shoot it. See if it any gets rubbed off the fletching after a shot. You can still have fletching interference issues with a drop away rest if the timing is off or the nock point height is incorrect.
