  2. Re: deer hunting games [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I have "Deer Hunter -2" on my computer. It's an older game but very conservative & not too hard to play. [/ QUOTE ] Deer Hunter 2 is great! An oldie but a goodie... [/ QUOTE ] I sure like it! Sometimes it is funny too like when the Hunter talks, with an accent, like he is from Illinois! One good phrase is when he says..."Looks like they are all hiding from me" or "Oh Brother, It's starting to rain on me"....TOO FUNNY!

  4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://hunter-ed.com/cgi-local/exam/practice.cgi?st=in I found it is much easier (especially on the eyes) if you print out the exam and take it. then go back to the online version and match your answers to each question to obtain your score. My score was 95%. Some questions are tricky! ~GOOD LUCK ~

  6. Re: The evacuation of Indiana [ QUOTE ] So, a question for you hoosiers... did you all decide to take a collective vacation, or did governor Mitch run you off by selling the turnpike to foreign interests, or are you just trying to escape the impending daylight saving time? [/ QUOTE ] Nope! This Hoosier Stayed Home and did some yard work Concerning our Governor "Our Man Mitch" aka "Major Moves" it a wonder he doesn't run off many Hoosier to other States, with his stupid way he is running (or ruining) The State of Indiana.
  7. Re: U.S. Debt......... [ QUOTE ] fact is, we've got the biggest spending liberal president of all time. [/ QUOTE ] You mean the past three!
  8. Re: Lever action shotguns Winchester's 9410 is a neat little shotgun but has very limited use. IMHO. Certainlt not woth the money when other brands of .410 are available that fire the 3" version.
  9. Re: U.S. Debt......... [ QUOTE ] I wonder how much of those trillions is money we owe to China? [/ QUOTE ] If things continue on as the are presently, Red China will own this country!
  10. Re: U.S. Debt......... I am old enough to remember the USA as being a CREDITOR Nation and NOT a DEBITOR nation, like it is presently. If theis trend of debts continue, we stand to loose a lot!!! We need to get back to a "Value Added Economy" FAST!
  11. Re: New shotgun scope I have a Leupold 2-7 power "Shotgun" scope mounted on my Browning Gold 20 gauge, and also have a 2-7 power "Rifle" scope mounted on my Remington M-673 bolt action in .308. Hadn't had a chance to use them for hunting, other than sighting them in, but they both great scopes and I am happy with them. They sure beat those import scopes from China!

    Gun Control

Re: Gun Control It is my opinion that "Gun Control" laws starting with the Gun Control Act of 1968, are totally useless. They have done nothing to prevent firearm crimes, as the criminals are going to get them anyway regardless of the laws. All these laws have accomplish is: infringe on the law abiding Gun Ownership, and interfere with the commerce of the firearms & related industry, with silly useless red tape. These laws are also a waste of taxpayer's money.
  13. Re: #1 Song On The Day You Were Born Man; I was out of high school & College BEFORE many of you were born! Just taking a wild guess here, but I bet the average age of a forum member is 35 years of age.
  14. Re: LOTS of venison recipes!!! Thanks! I book marked it also!

  18. Re: How much difference is their really? My Cousin, who lives in Washington State, has used the Savage Model 99 in .300 Savage for hunting Deer, Bear, and Elk. It hasn't failed him in any of his hunts. Prudent shot placement as well as proper Bullet weight is the key to success with this or any other cartridge.
  19. Re: Rifled shotgun barrel versus smooth bore Sabot slugs are generally more accurate than the older foster types used in a smooth bore shotgun.
  20. Re: Acceptable Accuracy 1. Varmint Gun.....1" or less @ 100 yards 2. Big Game Gun....1 1/2" to 2" @ 100 yards 3. Slug Gun.....2 1/2" to 4" @ 100 yards 4. Muzzleloader.......3" @ 100 yards
  21. Re: New hunting ride [ QUOTE ] I finally decided and found a dealer willing to deal. Here is my process: Went to edmunds.com and asked for dealer drive out prices. I then chastised most dealers for giving me "internet pricing". One or two gave me true drive out and I used that in a round of "can't talk on the phone at work, please email me only" bargain hunting. Only after I got the price I wanted did I go into the dealership and buy. Edmunds.com is a great resource for anyone looking to buy. PM me and I can give you more hints. Anyway, I got a Toyota Tundra Double cab with the off-road package and the towing package (no running around looking for a hitch and putting on a cooler). I paid about $2,500 less than what Edmunds and other new car pricing services said I should pay. So I feel guud. It is a NICE vehicle! New [/ QUOTE ] The Toyota Tundra Trucks are assemblied about 20 miles north of where I live.
  22. Re: Venison is all gone, very sad!! We still have around 90 pounds of Venison left in our Freezer. We eat venison on average twice per week.
  23. Re: Useful Feature On Your P.C. This is the only forum I couldn't get it to work either. Maybe it the format they use here? It'll work on other forums and e-mail though.
  24. THIS IS FOR ALL OF US OLDER PEOPLE I just found out and thought I'd pass this on. It's very useful when trying to read small print (especially in the early hours). If you hold down the Ctrl key on your key board and then turn the small wheel in the middle of your mouse away from you or towards you, the print size will change - it will either get larger or smaller - depending on which way you turn the wheel.
