  1. Thanks Shaun, I appreciate you showing me the difference. It looks like it does quite well. The only question that I have is, my camera is a 12x zoom, would the 300mm be equivalent to that or better? It looks like it would be better from your pictures.
  2. I tried it with catfish last night and I will say that it is very good. Thanks for sharing Chris!

    Which side?

In my opinion, I would suggest above the trail because it would be harder for them to see you. You also have to think about the dominate wind direction that time of year and which way that blows. But then again if you are above them it might just blow right over the top of them.
  4. I got to watch this over the weekend while staying in Indianapolis. Shane Mosley was supposed to be a big underdog as well as 7 years older. That was one of the better butt whoppins I have seen someone give. Mosley just picked him apart all night with the overhand right. I think he landed somewhere around 35% of his punches and I think 45% of his power punches. (That could be wrong but that is what comes to mind) Mosley was just way too fast for him and dominated the whole fight. It was very entertaining. If you get a chance to watch it and you are a boxing fan, I highly suggest it.
  5. Pretty much any movie with John Wayne. Patton Varsity Blues Days of thunder I am sure there is more but that is all I can think of now.
  6. Good luck and be careful. Hope you have a safe trip.
  7. WOW! I guess lucky is the right word. Another reason why guns and alcohol do not mix!
  8. Well it has been sleeting and raining and icing all last night. I get up this morning and get my truck ready for work. Which included scraping about 1/2 inch of ice off my window. I go into work and 11 out of 32 of us were able to make it in. The news said that we had received 2+ inches of sleet. As I am pulling into work it starts up again. We work for a couple hours thinking that we should be sent home before it gets too bad. The big wig comes to us and tells us in these exact words "It is not bad enough to go home yet because there is enough warmth in the air that it is just raining and not freezing." It was 28 degrees at the time. I thought freezing was 32 degrees. He also told us that "he could go out to his car and wipe away the ice with his hands." I was thinking to myself, yeah because the inside of your car is still warm from blasting the heater all morning on the way to work. They finally let us go home 2 hours early. We have had about 3+ inches of sleet today and are supposed to get another 3/4 inch of ice tonight and 3-7 inches of snow tonight into tommorow morning. Thanks for letting me rant.
  9. It is starting to hit here also. The last reports that I have heard are anywhere from 1-2 inches of ice, then snow and then ice on top of that. Gonna make it rough getting to work in the morning.
  10. Wish you all the best. Prayers are on the way.
  11. That stinks, but have to say that the same thing happened to me about 4-5 months ago. I wrote cancel on it like the guy and have not heard another peep from them.
  12. I will also try it with catfish, gonna be the chef tommorow night!
  13. I am not below #50. I am not too far from it, I am currently at #52. My draw length is 27 1/2, Arrow speed is right at 270 fps, Arrow weight and length is 320 and 29. My bow is a BowTech Mighty Mite, My arrows are easton carbon arrows. I am 24 yrs old I hope you can use this, but not sure since I am over the #50 mark.
  14. He did not go because of his arm/shoulder injury. I would of liked to see Pennington instead of Collins. I believe he deserved it more and had way better numbers.
  15. Glad that you are back and everything is getting better.
  16. I am too, both teams are playing really well right now.
  17. Thanks for all of the compliments guys! I have been told a few times that I should but I really did not think my pictures are "pro" quality, but I would love to get better equipment and go from there.
  18. Good Luck to you also. I agree about holding off for a while. Ok fellas, I will do my best to get the best of ol' Muggsy so we do not have to hear the gloating all year long. Not promising anything though.
  19. That is a great looking cat. Congrats!!

  21. Yeah, they were in a refuge. I try to make it a habit to go to a local refuge on the weekend and drive around and take pictures. The doe was in Union County Refuge in Southern Illinois and the buck was in Mingo National Wildlife Refuge in Southeast Missouri. The buck is what I would call the perfect 10.
  22. Looks great Shaun! Congrats. That brings back a lot of memories.
  23. Shaun, I am glad you asked this question. I was currently wondering the same thing. The new lens that you bought, How does that work? Is it a better zoom? How much does it help it? I think I might go in the direction of what you are going also. What kind of camera do you have?
