Man o' Man are you going to a great lake for stripers!!!! I fished there 2 yrs in a row with a guide and hammered the stripers!!! We used planer boards and shad and ran them at diffrent depths. Good luck and have fun!!!!

All these arrows can be used for hunting. If you wanted to use them for hunting you would need to buy the half outs (inserts) for them. The great thing is that I have 10 arrows that alread have halfouts and I am throwing in a extra 12 brand new in package half-outs. These are one of the best selling arrows easton has out.

The combo shoots great in the wind. I haven't shot a bow that has been this comfortable and accurate in a long time!!!! The wind has no effect on it as of yet. I did shoot in the Yankton 600 classic this weekend with this bow and took 2nd.

You must be a bitter person. Screw this and Screw that. You complained about it on AT and now on here. If you think that only the "rich" get to go out of state to hunt or fish then your sorely mistaken. I'm no where even CLOSE to be considered well off and yet I SAVE my money and SACRIFICE other things in order to fish/hunt other places. If you would go about it in a better way I would love to sit here or in a PM and discuss the price and draw process for Iowa. But your Screw Iowa attitude is basically saying screw myself. If you dont like the price then dont apply. That way you have nothing complain about. Hunt missouri and be happy that you still have places to hunt. Unlike here where the land prices have sky rocketed, land is being leased and the land you had to hunt 10-15yrs ago is now gone because of the Iowa hunting hoopla. Like I have told you on AT dont hunt here, I could careless, it's not going to hurt my feelings.

Boy did I get swindled into watching this movie. The girlfriend pretty much told me that we were going with her parents to watch it. After seeing all the previews I would have rather put my head in a car door and shut it real hard but I changed my mind when I saw it. I thought it was a rather good movie. The 3-D effects were pretty amazing to say the least.

We had G.I. Joes vs. Guts. The Guts were a down and dirty bunch of guys. LOL I also remember all the little green army guys I had. I betcha I had 400 of those little guys. Green, brown, gray even some red. Me and my friends would set up every guy we had. Well over 1,000 of them. Took all day and only 10 mins of a rock throwing battle to end it all. We tried it a couple times with G.I. Joes and Guts but they got DESTROYED when hit directly with a rock. Sometimes we even got real destructive and would hit them with the big red wiffle ball bat. Yeeeeppper those were the good ol' days.

Look what the union did for the auto industry. Some unions are pretty good and then there are some that want everything under the sun. I love it when union guys call non-union workers scabs but then will go out and do side jobs outside of the Union. Happens ALL the time. Oh well I'm just happy to have my job.

Last pay period I had a 132 hr pay period. 92hrs one week and 40 the next. They took $198 in state tax and $702 in federal. Its nice to have the pay but the taxes kill ya. That exactly $900 in taxes out of one check. Not including medicare, retirement and other deductions the goverment gets.

Well I guess that I didnt let everyone know what I decided..... I chose the Vulcan. With a few twists in the cables and strings we got the draw down to 27 1/4. I also had a problem in the past with mass weight of my bows and where I needed more of it. Well I used 2 dog weights on the left side of the bow to even out the weight of the sure-loc. I also have 3 Easton Black Max stabilizers and took weight off the 2 and put some weights on the front of the Max. It seems heavy to some but I've learned that mass weight helps with better holding;). I'm shooting 26 1/2" Easton litespeeds at 329gr. @62lbs is spitting them out@294fps. I've shot this bow at the last 6 shoots and I will say that this is the set-up that I have been looking for FOR a long long time!!! Heck Tony I will even go as far as saying that I'm shooting this bow better then the blue ultra-elite.

I have 50 A/C/C 3-39's. If you are interested they come with MANY extras. Including glue in nibb (target) points. For those of you that dont know much about 3-39's they have what are called Half-outs which instead of the having inserts in the shaft themselves they have these half-outs. I have 22 arrows total that would have these half outs. The other arrows could be used as target arrows with the target points. These arrows are $140 a dozen new. I'm willing to part with them for $250 for all 50!!! PM'ing me might be faster then posting on here. But I will check in here to see if anyone is interested.

Here is a quick story, after seperating from the Military my best friend and I decided that we would go on a fishing trip every year. Well our first year we went to Lake Wilson in kansas. We caught 3 fish in 2 days of fishing WITH A GUIDE and the biggest was a 5lb striper. The next year we did our home work and found Beaver Lake in Arkansas. Now this trip was double what our first trip cost us. Lake Wilson $225, Beaver lake $425, those are per day prices. We opted for the Beaver lake trip and had the best fishing we have ever expierenced!!!! We caught 5 fish the first day, the smallest being a 12 lb whiper. The biggest was a 24lb 38" striper. The next day we caught 7 fish, all in the 12-18lb range. It was so great we went back the next year!!! Now here is my take on this whole situation...... Iowa is known for its great whitetail hunting and the opportunity to harvest a mature buck is there. Over the last 15-20 yrs Iowa residents and IDNR have gone by a management system that brought the deer numbers from next to squat to now people chomping at the bit to hunt here. Its not just the soil minerals or the access to crops. ALOT of states have the same, even better, habitat for LARGE whitetails but in one way or another their state has not set forth a solid management system. Take for example Missouri (not picking on you guys:D) but the northern part of missouri has the exact same country as Iowa if not better yet Mo allows a gun season in the heart of the rut. We all know that this is not going to help with management. Now for my take on the high tag prices, if any of you have ever applied for a non-resident elk tag in New Mexico or Arizona you know the tag prices are steep steep steep. Same goes for a alaskan Brown bear hunt, Yukon moose, dall sheep or whatever it is that trips your trigger I get alot of guys that tell me that "Elk is a bigger animal and thats worth it" or "we dont have elk our state and I'm willing to pay that price for the tag". Well my thoughts on this are, why are you wanting to come to Iowa?? Its the chance of shooting a big buck correct?? I mean its obviously not for the meat, if it was then you would just stay in your home state and harvest one. People want the chance to bag that booner or something larger then they would in their home state. I myself don't like the rise in preference point cost. They should have kept it at the $12 that it was. No need in my opinion to raise it to $50. Some people think that this will hurt the revenue of non-resident tags but I'm telling you here and now that for every 1 person that doesnt apply there are 10 more that are more than happy to apply. I hope that those who applied on here get drawn and if you do and your in the Indianola area. Make sure you let me know and I will treat ya to supper.

Trust me I'm not a pothead. I'm a federal law enforcement officer and I dont think that would really fit in with my job description:D. I'm also not saying that I would use it if by chance it was legal, because I know for a fact I would never use the stuff. I'm just trying to put into perspective the advantages of legalizing it.

Thats pretty sad to see someone would even say this:rolleyes:

Of course there will be, same when alcohol was outlawed. My point is that we are NEVER EVER NEVER going to stop the income of marijuana into the country, EVER. Once again the samething with the alcohol. The government finally realized what a revenue it was and thats what lifted the prohibition. It wasnt because someone decided that alcohol wasnt as bad as they once thought it was, its because they knew that they were wasting MILLIONS of dollars on the attempt to stop it and were only succesful on a small scale. Same as marijuana. We have spent Millions maybe even Billions and what have we accomplished??? Not much more that some 2 bit dealer selling pot that is now laced with PCP or coke. There is where you get the "gateway" for other drugs. Now if the government said o.k. we are now selling pot and will regulate it just like booze then you snuff out 98% of the dealers. However just like booze you have the Outlaws "moonshiners" who still make illegal booze, but how much money do they make doing it??? Slim to none. Not like the runners of the 20's and 30's. Save the money we spend on the marijuana drug war and use it towards other drugs or the immigration problem.

Is whats crazy is that I never believed in conspiracy theories or anything along those lines, however I finally broke down and watched the movie Farenheit 9/11 and I was ready to tear the movie to shreads but after watching it I was in awe at the things that were provin. Its a scary scary thing that we have given the government this much power. I felt like I was a sheep that just went with the flow and never questioned anything that happened. If anyone has the time and wants a good debate wathc this movie. Trust me I'm still not a Michael Moore fan, not even close but this movie was done very well as far as opening my eyes to things.

I guess I should have known that there would people that would take it out of context and throw other drugs into the mix. Let me make this very very clear I DON NOT USE ANY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES. Just wanted to make that in bold print so that there is no confusion. How many people here that are saying how bad pot is and how it would be the demise of the country and the end all of things that are good have actually researched marijuana?? I'm willing to bet not very dang many. If you want to really look at the big picture the Domestic violence rate is no where near the same as alcohol to pot, nor is the violent crimes. Ever heard of a guy getting stoned and beating his wife to the very inch of her life. I myself am going to have to say no. So please dont throw out the crystal meth and the coke and the herion or the other drugs that you have said because there is no proposal to legalize them. It just cracks me up sometimes when people have been so herded in a direction and that is the way it is. I'm almost willing to bet my whole pay check that everyone on this forum either drinks a alcoholic drink once in awhile or knows someone who does. 80yrs ago you/they would be the criminals. The government realized that NO matter what they did it was going to be a constant thing. Same with marijuana. Its a constant you will NEVER, EVER stop marijuana from entering the United States. Heck a majority of it is grown here. So if its a product that is relatively safe then why not regulate it in a way the government can control a vast majority of the usage and the production, stop the billions of dollars of spending in trying to stop the marijuana battle and use that money to try to stop the other manufactoring of the illegal drugs you mentioned. Since a vast majority of those (besides cocaine) are made and here in the states.

As most of you know there was a point in time when Alcohol was as illegal as marijuana. Until the government realized how much money was being made from the likes of Al Capone and made booze legal once again but with stipulations. If everyone would look into the amount of money and resources spent a year on drug interdiction we would start to realize that there is actually money to be made by the government, and if you want my opinion I would rather have them get the money than the local drug dealer down the street who really doesnt care who he sales it to. It would just be going from one crook to another but at least the Government could put in place regulations and laws pertaining to the use and sales. The U.S. government spent a reported 26 BILLION thats $26,000,000,000 on drug interdiction alone. People act like once its legalized the community is going to fall apart and turn into a run down war-zone. Hate to tell everyone this but the people that will do it when its legal are the sameones that are doing it right now while its illegal. Now as far as the tobacco products the government has put a damper on the sale of any of these products here in Iowa. The state tobacco tax is continestly on the rise. I pay $5.75 for a can of Copenhagen and the reason that I'm only paying that is because U.S. Smokeless dropped the price of their product. Now since they have done this the State wants to raise taxes once again. Oh ya did I mention that I DO NOT smoke pot and that I'm a federal officer.

The thing about sending air crews in on the other ships is that there are hostages on those ships as well. Innocent people would be killed if we bombed them. The sad thing about this situation is that when the seal team does regain the situation there will be some left wing liberal who will say that we did it wrong and these so called "pirates" are trying to get a better way of life. You know its a sad sad day when the FRENCH use their special forces to re-take one of their ships and we are sitting there with a carrier that has more than likely at least 2 seal teams on it and we are still trying to negotiate. Maybe it's time for people to say enough is enough and start defending themselves. I for one would take a job on a ship as security. Your telling me a job where I have a M-60 or 240 with 2000rds of ammo and I get to shoot at a moving target in the ocean???? And I get paid for this???? Please tell me where I can sign up at.

Cut the breast into 1" strips. Wrap the strips in bacon and place on a tin foil sheet. On the same sheet place a chunk of apple and a chunk of onion. Wrap the goose in tin foil, you can place about 3 bacon wrapped strips in 1 sheet of tin foil, then place on the grill. Let it cook for 15 mins then open tin foil and let cook for another 3-5 mins. Enjoy!!!
