Has a 4.4L Supercharged V8 Northstar under the hood, and holy smokes does it ever get up and go! Inside you have leather and swade seats, complete navigation and every doo-dad and gadget you could imagine. Last but not least, the pricetag: $103,000. [/ QUOTE ] That price include oil changes?

NEW YORK STATE CONSERVATION COUNCIL NEWS FLASH January 25, 2007 Governor Spitzer announces that he has selected Assemblyman Alexander “Pete” Grannis as the new Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation. Assemblyman Grannis has served on the NYS Assembly Environmental Conservation Committee since the mid 1970s and is a strong advocate for a clean environment. He is also known as an opponent of trapping. He fly-fishes and has a mixed record on hunting issues. Judith Enck has been appointed Deputy Secretary for Environment and will remain a close advisor to the Governor on all environmental issues. New York State Conservation Council President Harold Palmer and Legislative Vice President Wallace John plan to meet with Commissioner Grannis in the near future. For Immediate Release NYSCC 8 East Main Street Ilion, NY 13357 315-894-3302 315-894-2893 fax Looks like this new gov't will be messing with all things...Our hunting and gun rights are in BIG TROUBLE! Support your local Hunting and Shooting organizations, because it will be them who will be defending our right to hunt ,trap and fish. Now more than ever, NY sportsmen must stick together with a anti trapping DEC commisioner with a few tricks up his sleeve.

Re: What\'s a good mechanical release for hunting? [ QUOTE ] Before you take it back check the set screw in the back of the trigger. You can adjust it in and out to be more or less of a hair trigger. [/ QUOTE ] Hutchies right...most releases have a adjustable hex screw on them for trigger adjustment. If it doesn't, then get one that does. I shoot the TRU-Fire Hurricane buckle, don't like noisy velcro straps in the woods. The buckle goes on my wrist silently.

Re: Mathews Shooters Welcome to the forums. You'll like it here. I have a Outback with the same string on it since I bought it back in '03. It will be changed for this season coming no doubt, but...YES. I think your string is wearing a BIT premature. Strange you got NO help from your dealer

Re: TC Thunder Hawk I'm glad I was able to help. If moisture getting at the primer is a concern, make a little leather strap, wide enough to completly cover the opening exposing your primer, with velcro on both ends and wrap it around the breech to cover the nipple primer. Make sure that the bolt can travel freely when the trigger is pulled. That is a quick fix to keep snow out and maybe some rain. Good Luck on the range!

Re: Lets see your turkey guns! Old model Mossberg 835 (91 model). Bad factory camo job, but it shoots great! I put Tru-glo fiber sights on it and put a Undertaker choke tube in it when I shoot 3" and the ported tube in when I am feeling a bit nuts to use the 3 1/2". It is a deadly combo. Here is a pic of my son(squirrelhunter91) and I as we were chasing birds last year. Boy!...looking at that pic, MAN has he grown in a year! BTW, he is shooting a Mossberg 500 youth model in .20ga

Re: TC Thunder Hawk I have a Thunderhawk also. Stainless with syn stock. I had it sent back to T/C( Fox Ridge outfitters) to have it updated. I too changed the sights to the fiber optic ones that T/C offers, had the QLA done. They remove about 1" of rifling at the muzzle for the bullet to engage the bore better alligned, AND...I bought and coverted it to 209 primer. That required another bolt and nipple. Kit was like $29.99 What I found out about this gun was that it was VERY finnicky as far as loads go. It shoots best with a 350gr Maxi hunter with loose powder, pyrodex RS 90 grains to be exact. I tried pyrodex pellets, no good, triple 7 pellets...no good, Jim Shockeys Gold FFG NO GOOD!...even switched up the primers too...NFG I was looking for cleaner burning powders. Pyrodex stinks when you clean it, so thats why I leaned towards 777 and tried Shockeys Gold. As I found out, it shot best with 3" groups at 100 yards with 90grains of loose pyrodex. I have had a misfire hunting with the gun when it was still ignited by #11 primers. That led to the 209 conversion. I don't think it made much of a difference, but I have peace of mind that the 209 is a more reliable ignition system. Maybe your gun will shoot different, and maybe I can save you some time at the range.

Re: New Turkey Gun You have made a good choice. Mossberg is a workhorse of a gun and I reccomend them. I bought one of the 1st 835's back in 91, and it has been my workhorse of my gun battery. I does all, turkey...it ddoes that real good, crows, rabbits ,skeet, squirrels... you name it. The 535 also has the cantilevered scope mount on the slug barrel. A good system. Good luck with it. That gun will serve you well.

Re: Get the shakes? Shakes can come in the beginning or on the back end. Emotion will flow no doubt, wether it transmits into shakes or supreme concentration is up to you. I find the interaction with a gobbler(s) is one of the best way to get the adrenaline pumping and appreciate one of nature most majestic creatures. Also, turkey hunting is usually done with someone else. So the memories are that more intense, and bonds are created forever. For me, I never feel more ALIVE than when I am at full draw or have a gobbler in my sights. When that dissappears its time to hang up the tools.
