Re: NY Residents/hunters/trappers-Please Read I signed it..I'm 253 We really have a BIG problem with this guy Grannis and I don't think it gonna go away...its going to take a VERY large voice to OUST him and wake up loyal democratic party boy Spitzer.

Re: NY Residents/hunters/trappers-Please Read I have signed it and am passing it around to all the NY sportsmen/woman I know. NY is in for a whole world of trouble with this guy Grannis as the head of DEC. How can the democraps say they don't have an agenda to eliminate ALL Hunting with this guy in there? I get a sick feeling when I think about the things this guy will do to OUR right to hunt/trap and fish.

Re: Just bought 2 Stick and Strings Thanks guys..I'm waiting on a stringer so I can string without endangering the bow. I still not have picked out any shafts. I have until it gets warm to do that But just picking them up and playing with them has me excited. Even my sons( 3 of 'em) want to take a few shots out if it Those dang Howard Hill vids put the bug in me. This is the start of something good.

Re: This will open your eyes!!! [ QUOTE ] FALSE!! Can't believe everything you read on the internet especially in a email...This one was a little to far out there even for me to believe... http://www.snopes.com/politics/clintons/panthers.asp [/ QUOTE ] Many e mails are proven wrong. Maybe this one is... BUT....the urban legend site even says that Hillary was there at the college siezing the opportunity TO BE PART OF one of the greatsest civil rights cases in history. So as I see it ...she was involved and a P.O.S. to boot. She took part in some way shape or form, maybe not in the way the e mail describes, but they(Hillary and her types) are HUGGERS and lovers of sociopaths if there EVER was any. I don't need ANYMORE info to DESPISE that woman and pray the USA sees what a phony this person is. New York fell for it, I hope the rest of the country don't also.

Re: Ready to cuss Sounds like a good place to put an infra red trail cam and catch'em red handed! Yeah I'd be pissed if I had too if I had to deal with dumped carcass' often. Good luck catching them.

Re: North American Hunting Club Bottom line...they market items to hunters for companies, taking a peice for themselves and the membership fee you pay is to be on that marketing list. They also sell your info to OTHER companies to market other items too. If you belong to the NAHC, most likely you have gotten mailings about a gardening club, handyman club ect. All sub companies of the NAHC that are looking to market items to you/us. Look at the magazine they put out. Few articles and PLENTY of ads. It is a racket and they have found a niche. It is NO club at all. A for profit organization that masquarades(sp?) as a club. If it was a club, you'd have the opportunity to pick officers and leaders of that club. This club is owned by a European consortium, whose sole motivation is PROFIT. Why else take a "save the seals" by Peta ad and have it run on your Bulletin board as a pop up? Money 1st...hunters rights 2nd. Thats the NAHC.

Re: opion on mattews bow I too have my 03 Outback and love it also. I have shot the other newer Mathews...but see NO justification to buy another bow. Well I might anyway... because my son(squirrelhunter91) has his eyes on my Outback, now that he can draw 60lbs He's just not at 29" draw yet. But ..yes, consider the older Mathews brands also. They too are REAL good bows.
-
Last week I picked up on Ebay, 2 recurves. One is a vintage Ben Pearson Javelina 66" 45lbs and 28" draw and the other is a Bear, Black Bear Hunter 58" 40lbs and 28"draw. I learned to shoot a bow on a compound back in the late 80's and I feel myself being drawn lately, to the primitive methods of hunting. I have yet to pick out some sticks to fling. I am leaning towards the port orford cedar stuff, but my old aluminum eastons will work for a while. But I must say I am looking forward to making fletchings with turkey feathers that I have harvested. I understand the recurve is a whole different world than shooting my Mathews. I am whole heartedly looking forward to another facet of my/our hobby.

Re: opion on mattews bow Welcome to the forums... You can't go wrong with ANY Mathews bow. The Drenaline is the latest and the greatest right now while the other models are proven. Shoot as many bows as you can and then make the decision. You might even have a hankering for one of those double cam and a half whatevers as opposed to a solo cam. What fits, feels and shoots best is what you want. A good pro shop will let you shoot a bow before you buy it, so try 'em all. Don't exclude any other brands until you shoot as many as you can. Good Luck!

Re: Michael Waddell Left ? Think you could get him( Mr Waddell) to stop by the board once and a while since he still works for Realtree?

Re: Attention NY hunters, fishemen and trappers My letters have already been sent out to Gov.Spitzer and my local state senators. I asked Spitzer straight out "what were you thinking putting a animal right activist in charge of hunting, trapping and fishing.?" As much as Spitzer is for rooting out corruption, he did the same thing...installing commisioners within party lines, not who was BEST qualified for the job. It could only have been a patronage appointment

Re: Little Johnnies at it again... [ QUOTE ] Nice to see that joke got cleaned up a bit since the last time I heard it in here. [/ QUOTE ] I did not think the 1st time I posted it, sorry...it was soo funny I did not think about "clean jokes only". It was Hillary and I HAD to take the shot and get it out there.

I just want to rell ya a bit about the service at Tru Glo. I have fiber optic sights on my Mossberg 835. That gun is my workhorse. The front fiber pin broke somehow in my travels. I called Tru-Glo and explained my problem. They told me it was warranteed and they sent me a pack of 4 of these fiber pins. You can get just about 8 pins from the amount and lenth of pins they sent, they have to be cut. But what GREAT service fron Tru-Glo no questions asked and a fix was in the mail and received in 4 days. I have their pin(only one sight pin) on my bow and I am way happy with it. This company stands behind their products. I just thought I'd share a good thing about a popular company that makes some really good hunting products.

The teacher was asking the class about what occupations that their dads have. The regular responses were, teacher, fireman, policeman, plumber ect. Little Johnnie says" My dad is a exotic dancer and dances in front of other men for money". The teacher was taken back by his statement and had the class go back to doing something else. She later went to Johnnie and asked if what he said was true... Little Johnnie said" Nah...My dad works for the democratic nat'l committee and he is trying to get Hillary Clinton elected, but I was just too embarrassed to say that"

Re: Attention NY hunters, fishemen and trappers Join the NRA and the NYSRPA and any other local organizations you can. I also belong to NY Bowhunters, they were instrumental in the changes DEC made a few years ago. Appointing Grannis is like putting an anti war person as the secretary of defense. NY and other states are gonna see big changes with the democraps in office. New gun laws are in the works. Just wait and see how bad it will become with the democrats steering this country. Just look at Tokyo Rose Pelosi and what she stands for. NY is in B I G trouble.
