  1. Re: How many countys in your state do you hunt in? 3 counties for me. Rockland, Orange and Sullivan.
  2. Re: Take that John Kerry! *(Pic!)* Boy that was quick...the blown joke heard round the world. Just another reason not vote his party.
  3. Re: 4x4 or 8 Point, etc. Where I'm from, the total # of points. We'd say 8 pointer The west and east have their vernacular. Is it soda or pop? I would think its because mulies have grand racks that are defined without brow tines... usually. So the separation of the antler is there.Hence ?X? Whitetails usually have brow tines and the points are continous. Hows that sound...? Hey, I took a stab here
  4. Re: T/C #11 Nipples for sale All prices include shipping. I converted to 209 ignition. I no longer use these type nipples.
  5. Re: Summit Tree Stands Everything Summit makes is GOLD...buy it. You can't go wrong with a Summit!
  6. Re: Hey all of you idiot military people....... Just imagine...this man could've been Commander in Chief He has a purple heart too. From what I read how he got it... from the schrapnel from the grenade he threw ! And he put in for the purple heart himself! Was refused until he found a Dr. that gave a war injury report. He should just go away... What a jerk.
  7. Re: Jim Shockey?? One thing I forgot to add about Shockey was, the segment of his show ; that is sponsored by Leupold" The Big Ones". I just L O V E that old footage of Howard Hill back in the day. AWESOME. Those segments alone...to me, makes his show one of my outdoor favorites. Howard Hill...now theres a hunter and a pioneer to which we all owe gratitude.
  8. Re: Saw something cool! That is cool...and original too. Thanks for sharing it!

    huntin camp trashed

Re: huntin camp trashed Sorry to hear about your camp. Place some "SMILE your on camera" signs around the place...even if there are NO cameras in place. It will give them food for thought if there is REALLY a camera around. I had a similiar problem with people who dump garbage, since I put up the signs, no more garbage.
  10. Re: Jim Shockey?? Shockey is a very accomplished hunter. I like his basic approach to hunting, not too much fanfare. He seems like a regular guy. His articles in the NAHC mag are good too. MOF, I just picked up a 1lb container of his Jim Shockeys Gold powder for my smokepole. I can't wait to try it.
  11. Re: 3.5 Year Old Buck? I agree 3 1/2, he still has a waistline that is visible. Once they go beyond that age, their body becomes more of a rectangle with less definition and more mass all around. That isn't always the case, but its what I have been reading about field judging deer.
  12. Re: **REALLY UPSET WITH HUNTING UNIVERSITY SHOW*** Good advice Al. That is a Meathead move for sure. I am suprised that the editors did not catch that boo boo.
  13. Re: Turkey...or deer? Shoot whatever comes along thats legal. My son and I were in our stands this afternoon and about 20 birds came about 50 yards away just before dark. Never presenting a shot. We watched them walk off and flapp up to the roost about 100 yards away. It was a good day on stand, and no blood flowed at all. That something the animal rights jerks will never understand.
  14. Re: How did you get your username? The combination of the 1st name initials of myself, my wife and 3 sons. 5 of us. Anthony Dawn joseph anthony micheal ADjam5...got it? I too was thinking of changing to a more hunting related name, but I have had this one for over 10 years.
  15. Re: Pellets with #11 Cap? Guys I have some T/C#11 nipples for sale in the classifieds if anyone needs 'em. Thanks
  16. This is a sign that was put up by a homeowner, to warn people about the deer crossing this road. My house, and where I bowhunt is on the other side of these woods Good spot to hunt would'nt ya say? This is surburban ,NY 38miles north of NYC. Sorry about the pic quality, I used my cell phone to take the pic.
  17. Re: 2006 Huge CA Blacktail (pics) Congrats on a 2 fine deer specimens
  18. Re: jim shockeys american pioneer I just picked up a can of Shockey Gold last week. $21.99 here in southern,NY. I have not gotten a chance to use it . I will be putting in thru my .50cal T/C Thunderhawk. It is one of the older in lines, made in 89. Ancient huh? I will let you guys know how it does in my gun. I know my gun shoots loose powder better than pellets, so I'll give this Shockey powder a chance. Some time this week I should be going to the range to sight it in. I just put a Hawken Scope on it.
  19. Re: T/C #11 Nipples for sale Make that 2 T/C Cat #7075 Hot shot nipples for sale! I found another one brand new in the package. $5 shipped!
  20. Re: .22 Magnum opinion No matter what 22 mag you choose, give the Remington 32grV-max load a try. What a job it does on small game
  21. Re: 30-30 WIN. The newer Marlins are touted as being built for specific use of the Lever Revolution ammo. Technology ain't it grand!
  22. Re: Hunter Safety Harness. Where\'s the best price? I love the simplicity of the HSS vest, but I feel it could use a redesign on the leg strap positions. I think they should come more around the cheek of the butt, rather than around the crotch. I have one myself. I wear a full body harness at work, I do lots of high work on bridges and off of ariel equipment. The harness I wear there is soo much more weight distributive that the HSS. I consider a harness to be a vital part of the hunting game. Get one that fits and is comfortable to wear. I paid $89 for mine out of Bass pro last year.
  23. Re: Washing Hunting Clothes I agree rain washing and air drying is what I use to help keep my clothes scent free.
  24. Re: BUCK OF A LIFETIME!!! 2006 WOW...Thats all I can say is Wow.... Congrats!
  25. Re: Ebay Auctions Listed I see now... you have bids on the snow camo top. Thats what I was interested in. Let me know if anything falls through. Thanks.
